Remarks

I only applied directly for the university of Jai Narayan Vyas because it's a government college and study wise it's genuine and budget-friendly for students from the middle class. I availed OBC quota for this I had to submit some documents (OBC certificate and residential certificate). If you achieved a 70+ percentage in the 12th class you'll receive a government-approved seat which will benefit you. You've to achieve a percentage greater than 50 in order to receive the admission and if you are eligible for any other quota then it will benefit you in admission. There is no counselling. The admission process is very simple you can visit their site for information and documents needed for admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose B.Com because I love finance and studying it. Finance is everywhere and accounting is my job background so it will be easy for me to study it and achieve more marks in it. The faculty-student ratio is 10:40 you'll find more boys in the faculty because there is a separate college for girls which K.N. girls college for the same university. There is no qualification for study all losers and winners can study in the same room what matters is knowledge. Teaching in JNVU is problematic as teachers are not as good compared to other colleges but it's still average for me. Well, there is only one term exam for my course and it is easy to pass if you are an average student overall exams environment are good.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are part-time internships available for students with different courses with a good stipend. The roles are mainly like campus ambassador, new commer guide, documents collector and much more available on the university official website. There are lots of projects provided by the campus-like environment activists, science projects, Acting related and many more. There are special outcomes according to your talent if you have a special talent you can showcase in these activites for more benefits. There is no quota speciality in this case.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no fees hike policy and the cost to study is very low if you achieved any good quota because it is government provided college. If you achieve good marks in 12th you'll provide additional scholarship which is very good in my case because I paid only 1800/- annual fees for my course which is very cheap as compared to other colleges. there are other changes too like - student ID card fee 100/-, annual exam fee 900/- approx, and other charges. Still, it's very budget-friendly. There is no financial assistance in my case (it can vary on courses). I didn't get any job on campus and it can also vary on courses you choose but they provide some part-time jobs for students with a good stipend for their living overall you've to find a separate job with degree campus didn't provide it for you (in my case).

Campus Life

4

There are lots of social activities on the campus. Annually a show is organised where singing celebrities came there to perform live and it is very nice to see them performing. The science fest is also conducted there for students from science backgrounds and also a fashion fest for students of arts. There is a very big library for students available for different faculties you can have your books for minimum charges. There are different amenities in the classroom. The sports ground is very big. You can play basketball, tennis, volleyball, cricket, and many more sports on the ground. There are also some championships and talent hunts conducted annually for students. A social group available for JNVU students on Instagram (@apna.jnvu) provide all information for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of bcom course, in which i am enrolled is not much relevant, I have learnt literally the basic of accountancy in my 1sem, something that was taught to me in class 11 itself. And yes, The curriculum does not prepare us for real world problems or projects. Curriculum is very old and irrelevant that a student can't even find a job i market after graduating from our college. Exams are held on irregular timing every year, many times they get postponed for no reason. The difficulty level of exam is not much, Exams are easy to pass. You just have to fill the copies, rest work will ne done by the examiner, whether the answer is genuine or not ????

i choose b.com because curriculum was relevent to my aspect, the curriculum is preparing me for my future studies is good but it is quite outdated in terms of todays world, so i would suggest 1 improvement to it, add new chapters and remove old boring chapters from curriculum. there and 6 to 8 months of gap between each semesters and they are quite tricky.
