Remarks
I applied to HBTU college through college website in addition round and got a seat in 4th round in civil engineering. No, I do have not any quota for admission. When I applied only a few branch seats have left but I want admission in civil so I applied. The cutoff of my branch in the 4th round is about 78000. They allotted seats and give 3 days to submit the remaining fees and then they confirm the seat.
Course Curriculum Overview
I want to do B.tech so I choose to do it, further I want to go into government service so I chose civil engineering. All the faculty member are good and very supportive ,they always available for clear our doubts in online mode through WhatsApp or google meet, they always complete their course at the proper timing. The ratio in my branch is about 14;82. All the faculties are highly qualified and experienced, but some of the lab faculty are newly joined and i think they have well qualified but have less experience, the teaching method is all over good but some teachers only teach with pdf and sharing notes. Exams are conducted from time to time there is only one midterm exam and one end sem exam but the quiz is held per the unit syllabus and assignments also have to submit unit-wise. Not very difficult to pass the exam if you have regular in-class and study after the class about 2-3 hours.
Internships Opportunities
I am in my first year not much know about it but some companies or organizations have offered us for an internship like E-cell, tech fest IIT-Mumbai, Pustakey, and many more. Projects are in Ecell -ignite The start-ups battlefield , in techfest -industrial live project opportunity, in Pustakey - campus ambassador program.
Placement Experience
In the 7th semester, you have eligible for college campus placement. Google, Reliance industries, Samsung engineering, IBM, OYO rooms, and many more like Asian paints. The highest package is about 60 LPA and Average package is about 7-8 LPA. About 90-95% of students got placement. I have plan to go for preparation for UPSE after CSE.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the first year are 135000 and the fees are increased 10 percent per year, I think which is not good because 135000 is a very large amount. The college is under an up government so you can apply for scholarships, there has a fee waiver quota. campus placement is all over good but in the civil branch, campus placement is very low comparing to other branches.
Campus Life
I am not aware of any fest because I took admission in covid time so I have no idea. There is a library in the college campus in you can read book and issue book on you campus card free of cost for 7 days in the first year. The library is very much bigger and have full of books and is open 6 working days a week. Classrooms are very good and there has a smart board in each class which is good for better understanding any critical concept. They have two campuses and east campus have own ground for an only first-year student I which you can play cricket, football, volleyball and whatever you want. I heard that there is a sports fest held in which branch-wise competition occurs. There are many clubs in our college and all are active in their own way, clubs like dance, photography, print media, singing, drama, sports, robotics, and many more.
Hostel Facilities
Facilities are available in the hostel are they provide fan, bed, Almira, chair, and table. wifi is not there in the new hostel (Ramanujam hostel). All over food is good but some days it's not good but after complaining or advising they make it better. One registration form you have to fill by which you got college hostel and you have to pay their fees. There is room or PG is available, some are near to college but the maximum is about 2-3 km away.
