Entrance Preview
I did not take any entrance exam. I opted for this college because it provided me timings because of which i could get free from the college on time to attend my article ship training for my Chartered Accountancy course.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is okay. The level is not too good. In the first year, there was a question of match the columns in the exam. But all the curriculum and the exam papers are drafted by the university. The college has zero involvement in the same.
Internships Opportunities
No, the college doesnt provide any form of internship to its students. So, i cannot comment on the same. The closest thing to activities out in the field are activities like preparing questionnaires for the public and collecting data from them, etc which are hosted by the college itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible. It is actually one of the lowest in the area. Thus, it hosts a lot of students. But, not a lot of those students actually come to the college. My course - Bachelor of Commerce (tax) has a fee of Rs. 7000 per year. While other courses like Bachelor of Commerce (Plain) have a fee of Rs. 5000 per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college gives scholarship to the students that need it. Students wishing to get scholarship have to give the college principal an application which is available at the counters. They just need to fill in the required places and it is left to the college to decide on the same.
Campus Life
The campus life in the college is very refreshing. The students respect all teachers. It is not like the regular college where the students are bunking classes or passing time away. The students here actually want to study. The economic backgrounds of most of the students here is not that great. So, the culture here is very humble.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is non existent. However, the seniors are really helpful. There is no bullying in the college.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is totally dependent on the DAVV University. Exam dates and curriculum is decided by the University itself. There is zero interference of the college in that matter. But there is a very tedious process of submitting CCEs, getting the exam form approved at the college, bringing the exam form to the college.
Admission
I went to the college first of all to get the admission form. There were subject wise counsellors seated in various sections explaining everyone who came to them what their course offered to the kids. On choosing one subject, i had to visit the accounts window to get the admission form. I purchased the admission form from there for Rs. 100 something (in 2014 that is).
Faculty
The faculty at the college is surely knowledgeable with 4-5 outstanding faculties and the rest being average. They teach by the same old orthodox methods, but are highly effective at what they do. They encourage the students to study and the students too like to study from them. The students that attend this college are usually of poorer economic backgrounds, so they do not have many resources at their disposal.
