I scored 5282 rank in UPSEE entrance examination. I opted this college because it offer engineering with textile technology which is not common.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is pretty good.Although it lacks little bit in industrial knowledge but that is coped up with industrial visits and professors giving valuable insights about industrial environment. Although there is research part in syllabus but a much more Research focussed curriculum has been decided recently and implemented from next session of 2017-18.
Internships Opportunities
The college takes full responsibility of summer internship of the every student .The student is send to a textile on basis of his academic performance and choice. Some companies conduct on campus personal interviews to select students for internship. I got summer internship in Vardhman Textiles in such an interview.
Placement Experience
There is 100% campus placement in the college. A big reason behind it is that my college is one of the most prestigious textile college of India amd there is always a shortage of technocrats in textile industry. Highest annual package is Rs.15 lakhs Trident ltd. Average package is about 4 lakh pa.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure ia very feasible.It can be easily afforded by a middle class student. Yearly fees is about Rs 69000 .And mess charges are Rs.2000 per month.Assistance is provided to financial weak and SC, ST students with annual fees of approx Rs. 21000+mess charges extra.Any other type of fees is not asked by college management during the year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a government college, all the scholarships provided by Government of Uttar Pradesh are available for the students. Dash mosttar scholarship reimburses approx Rs 50000-60000 depending upon category of student every year. A
Admission
The admission process was not quite eventful. As I applied for education loan, which took about a month for approval. I had to meet the Director of College for the permission of extension of fees deposit deadline. It was not that much difficult as I thought it would be. The Director easily granted the permission. After that there was very easy admission process and just got completed in one day.
Faculty
Faculty of my college is extremely talented. Every professor is a Ph.D and many have done it from IITs and have industrial experience of atleast five years and some even having that of 20 years. I asked one of my professors who is also an alumin that why he quit the job after 20 years and came here to teach us. He said the reason was 'Passion' and he likes giving what he has to his juniors .
