Remarks
The admission process was fairly easy, it was based upon the score of your 12th standard. Before this, you need to fill the admission form and wait for the results. On the day of counselling, there were plenty of counsellors, who guided the students on the stream in which the students want to pursue their careers. Depending upon the counselling, the students get wholesome of time to decide which course they want to pursue.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Political Science Hons with Geography because I wanted to go into UPSC. Political Science was one of my favourite subjects in my school and Geography was a scoring subject that is why I chose this combination. Each semester we had 5 subject codes and there were 4 faculties taking those subjects. The teaching method was very interactive. The teachers were very good and they had good command over the codes that they were teaching. The exams were conducted timely and the grades were given on the basis of our performance. The grading system was very fair and academics at ICG were never taken lightly.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since it was a semester system, we were asked to submit the fees after every six months. The first semester fee was naturally a bit more but eventually, with the end of the course completion, the fees were reduced. There is a placement cell in the University, which attracts the students to come and join it. There were a handful of opportunities provided by the Placement Cell and after every end of the session, there was a massive campus drive that took place. Soaring MNC's like Google, Genpact, Microsoft were few amongst those which always came.
Campus Life
ICG is known for its cultural fests. The star of ICG is the Fashion Show which takes place annually in the month of January. The annual function was celebrated with next level of excitement. Every now and then there were plenty of events that took place. The library was a place where you can get all the books available. The amenities provided were very good and undoubtedly it encourages students to come to the library and study there. The classrooms were well litted and ventilated. Classes for sports and extracurricular activities take place every Monday for more than an hour and there were multiple rooms for competition.
