Life at Parul University

I had applied for bhilai institute of technology,vellore institute of technology and parul university but the fees at parul university seemed more feasible so chose it over others and the admission process was quite smooth and was done within a day and one can even reserve a seat for himself by registering online on the college site

I am a student of mechanical engineering and i choose the subject since it was something of my interest and telling about the college and faculties,the student-faculty ratio in the institute is like 1 teacher per 60 students and the faculties are highly qualified and postgraduates from NIT's and the teaching in the university is quite good and exams are held in every 4-5 month this is how long a semester is and the exams are a bit tough to pass over here

The university organizes an internship fair for the students were a lot of companies come to hire interns and the university itself hires students as interns with stipends like 6-10k a month. the innovation cell of the university funds startup ideas and new projects presented by students

The fee structure remains the same throughout for any student who is enrolling and it's 90000 per year and plus 10000 examination fees which is like 50000 per semester and university gives scholarships to students for the first year on the basis of class 12th marks and the students are also hired by the university later on for various jobs

The social life in the university is quite good, the university every year organizes an annual tech fest and cultural fest named shook in the month of January and February where all kinds of sport and cultural activities take place, the university students also have great access to very big libraries built separately for different faculties. the college also promotes sports and cultural events and send teams for all India university games and the college campus has got very good football, basketball, cricket, volleyball, lawn tennis, kabaddi play areas including indoor games as well

The college hostel rooms are of vast variety and there are lot many hostels in the campus and hostel rooms provide facilities like free wifi, laundry, gym. talking about the meal and menu of the hostel the food provided there can't be called satisfactory since they are not consistent with the menu and the taste is not good. The university is 15 km away from the main city so renting a pg is not an easy task to do since you have to travel 15kms every day
