One of the top 10 colleges in Telangana

I have applied to vnrvjiet and didn't get accepted as my rank was around 4.8k, so I did not secure a seat through eamcet but I secured a seat through B-category(JEE MAINS) and I didn't go to vnr as I secured a seat in one of the top 10 engineering colleges in Hyderabad with much better placements i.e GRIET. I got into GRIET through the convenor quota(general). My program is computer science and business systems, a course designed by TCS that makes students become industry ready. The cutoff rank for a general category student in 2020 was around 5k. The admission into GRIET is of two types 1)CONVENOR QUOTA(EAMCET) 2)MANAGEMENT students must submit required credentials for both convenor and management quota.

I chose as, I felt that a student can gain and explore more things rather than an orthodox CSE student with the same curriculum for the last 5-10 years and by seeing the curriculum, I felt like it is a breed of business and computer science. The faculty was good, most of them have MTech degrees and a few PhD's, teaching methods are quite normal. In a year a student will be writing 6theory exams(2-sems,4-mids) and 4lab exams(2-external,2-internal). Students will be having a mid for every 1.5-2 months, after 2 mids you will be having sem exams.

Internships play a vital role in placements, college guides students to get internships, the college has a set of nice faculty to help you in research and publish papers. The college provides you with enough knowledge to do projects.

students are eligible for placements from 3year. most of the tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, TCS, Infosys, Wipro etc the highest package for 2020 is 43lac offered by Microsoft and for 2021 33lac offered by amazon. The average package is around 4-6lac. My plans after getting a degree are to pursue masters or take up a job.

My college fee is 122000 for each year and will be having the same fee for all 4 years excluding the exam, library, placements fee. I got full fee reimbursement from Government as I was eligible for it. The college will give 120k for ranks less than 500 80k for ranks less than 1000 40 for ranks less than 2000.

GRIET mainly focuses on studies and placements. The college conducts PRAGNYA fest. The library contains a large number of books but many books are repeated. classrooms contain a projector. no sports during college working hours.
