College Review

I applied for this college during my counselling and I got admission in Civil Engineering. I opted for this college because here there are more placement opportunities and a good education. I also got admission to another college where I have to pay zero fees but still, I choose this rather than that because of the number of placements and study teaching. So I opted for this college and completed my four years. Apart from study teaching here, there are several cultural and technical events. There is a boating club here which adds an aesthetic look to the overall college. We have an indoor sports complex and an open stage for the events. For students, the hostels are provided here and maintained hygiene. The admission process was very simple and there was an induction meet was arranged and after they meet, the certificates are submitted along with the first year fee and all the necessary documents must be submitted to the college. The induction meeting was like a kind of interaction and tells about the college.

I choose this civil engineering course as my interest. The faculty are well experienced here and there are only two sections for my branch and each class of 60 students and the faculty way of teaching was very interactive. We have lab classes and field works which gives more knowledge. Coming to exams there are 2 midterms and final semester exams. The midterms are like unit tests as in school. These are the exams that have an average that adds to our final marks. So this is a kind where we can read and score well to get a good grades in final semester exams.

Our college also provides internships to every student. This gives field experience and online courses via Coursera, Nptel. Also our college provides campus placement training for the students additionally.

For our department, there are fewer companies that are coming to our college and there are more companies to the CSE, EEE, ECE and IT. This year there are more placements for students than before year. Around 1000+ placements were given for the students this year with a good package.

For every new regulation, there is some change in the fees structure. There are some scholarships that are available for the students from the government which is completely free or else 35000 reimbursement. You either can take a study loan also which helps the student to pay after. Due to this pandemic for every college, the placements have been postponed and now they are taking the students and I have given some of the exams and waiting for the results.

We have a library where we have a more and more and more number of books related to subjects and of journals. We have a projector in every class which makes every student understand each concept by seeing them visually. we have a big Cricket Ground and Football Court and Basketball which helps students physically fit. There are a number of hackathons that are conducted and clubs for cultural fests which makes students show their interests.
