review on SMVDU

SMVDU is one of the reputed universities in Jammu and it's close to my locality that's why I applied here only. I did not avail any quota. you should be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks in graduation. Every year university conduct SMVDUEE and CAT/MAT scores is also considered. if you qualify the entrance exam, then you're required to appear for GD and PI

after Bcom i can either go for MCOM or MBA. since MBA is a highly professional degree that's why I opted for it. The faculty here is well educated and most of them have done PHD. and have good teaching experience. they conduct the mid-term test and final exam at the end of every sem.

HDFC came to our campus for internship, we applied for it and then our interview happend .. based on our performance they selected students for internship with stipend of 5000 per month... My project was related to NET-BANKING and staff was very courteous

if you ask me, placements are not that great. The average package is 3-4 lakh. and the highest package was 7-8 lakh. about 60 % of students got placed during my batch. and most of the students opted for off-campus placement. I got placed in ICICI as a relationship manager and worked there for 1 year.

the fee structure is a bit high as compared to other universities in Jammu. and it will cost you around 6-7 lakhs including hostel fees. Companies like HDFC, ICICI etc visit here for campus placement and internship programs . The minimum stipend that you get during your internship is Rs 10,000

titiksha and tatva is the annual tech and management fest that the university organizes. Yes, there is the availability of books and journals in the library with the latest edition. As far as sports are concerned our university organizes Resurgence - cultural and sports fest in which students from all over India can participate. VIKALP is a social group that is run by students .

there are 2 hostels for girls and is well ventilated. every room have beds and almirah and non-attached bathroom facilities. talking about the mess, the food is not that great .. most of the time i ended up ordering food from outside. also it is mandatory to take hostels no matter where you came from. The gym facility is also available separately for girls and boys

Yes , after filling the form, apart from MAT i also gave SMVDUEE .. after qualifying that GD and PI happened. They clearly don't remember the topic of GD but it was related to e-commerce and after that PI happened and it was not tough to crack .. Interviewer was very polite and made me feel comfortable. I used to prepare at home for GD, since it was my first GD and took help from internet
