Review of SVU

I got 46,000 all India Rank in JEE, I am selected for IIIT Kurnool, AP. I had rejected it because it is still under construction and the fee (tuition fee + hostel fee) is almost 2 lakhs per year. So, I had chosen Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering through EAMCET, where I got 4,030 ranks. I selected particularly SVUCE because it is one of the top Universities in Andhra Pradesh. Including it has 93rd place in NIRF ranking for Engineering Colleges all over India and has NACC A+ grade. When I visited the university for counseling, we had to search for the venue as it is very huge. And the counseling process is explained clearly by the Lecturers. I opted for admission into Computer Science and Engineering and got an admission number, it's that simple.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering because I am interested in computers and stuff. Our Department has 6 Professors who are about 15 experienced and passed out from IITs' and NIT's, 5 assistant Professors, and about 5 teaching assistants. The faculty to student ratio is 16: 280. Teaching is average. University conducts terms yearly twice. It's not that difficult to pass.

After completion of the sixth semester, campus placements will be offered. Companies that visit our university are Infosys, Wipro, cognizant, and some MNC's. About 60% percent of students will be getting placements annually. I am aiming to study M.Sc. Abroad.

The tuition fee for my course is 20,000 which can be cleared by the AP government's fee reimbursement scheme called Vidya deevena. Hostel fee is about 25,000 per year, which can be cleared by the AP government's Scholarship called Vasathi Deevena (20,000 per year).

Campus life is just awesome. At the time of joining, we had orientation programs and welcoming freshers programs where we can get an idea about college and its atmosphere. We have an annual fest called Talents Day which is conducted by Engineering Department. A great event(fest) called Rapsody where all types of cultural activities and sports are performed. And we also have a tech-fest for our Computer Science and Engineering Department called Cynosure which is an all-India level tech fest. Here, we do not need to buy any books, because we have a very big library with all types of study materials. We also have Digital Library with high-speed internet connection. Talking about clubs, we have all varieties of student clubs like Photography club, inspire club, C Cube, etc.

Hostel accommodation is very good. The room contains beds, drawing boards, shelves, and chairs. Food quality is too good which is organized by the students only. The registration process is done by the hostel committee nearby hostels, where we have to fill in our details and pay fees through the internet.
