Remarks

I only appeared for CAT exam and scored 77.32 percentile without any quota. With that percentile, I applied for only 3 colleges i.e Welingkar, Great lakes and Christ university. I had my GD PI scheduled for Christ university on the 2nd of February 2020 but unfortunately, i had my GATE exam on the same date. I also had a GD PI interview scheduled with great lakes but they were only offering me the Gurgaon branch so I didn't appear. Lastly, I appeared for Welingkar GD PI a couple of weeks after the first lockdown and I got in. (Online GDPI)

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The courses offered are great and some of the courses are very exclusive. Other than the Core marketing, operations, and finance, the college also offers courses related to business design, retail management, healthcare management, media, and entertainment sector, and many more.

Internships Opportunities

3

Well, there was mass recruitment by a certain company this year 2021, which usually doesn't happen at welingkar, but the overall internship scenario is pretty good. A lot of students get opportunities to intern with multinational companies like JP morgan, morgan stanley, GEP etc.

Placement Experience

4

The campus placement of the senior batch (since I'm still in my first year) is pretty good considering the covid 19 situations, by the end of April, approximately 80% of the total students were placed with an average CTC of 8 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee as similar to any other Business school; 5,50,000 Yearly with hostel fees ranging from 1,10,000 to 1,40,000. The college provides help with loans but there is no Campus jobs. For the course of two years, there is no hike in price. The fee remains the same half-yearly i.e 5,50,000.

Campus Life

4

Since we are in the new normal (pandemic) I've never got a chance to witness my college personally. But the clubs are still active and most of it is well worth the student's time. I don't know if this is a plus point or not but Welingkar out of all other b-school has a habit of keeping its students busy and engaged for great hours.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Welingkar has 4 hostel facilities, 2 for boys and 2 for girls. They are at a distance of 2 km to 5 km from the campus in the matunga area. There is no mess facility inside the hostel but there is a basic canteen for tea and some other refreshments.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yes. The basic draft of the admission procedure is a score in exam equivalent to MBA, shortlisting, followed by group discussion and personal interviews. This Group discussion becomes an individual topic discussion in the new normal (pandemic) as we are all dealing with online mode now. I never ever prepare for a group discussion or personal interview. I will just be myself.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.
