In UPSEE I scored a rank of 1200. However now it has become a university so most probably it would have a different criteria.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course of computer science and engineering first year is the same as the rest of the branches. It is just an extension of all the stuff you studied in 11-12. You won't be using this stuff in future. From second year coding and other stuff comes which may be actually helpful.
Internships Opportunities
Yes some companies do come for internship. The most famous one is Google though that may be off campus.
Placement Experience
Placements is pretty good for a north Indian college almost aa high as vit and above some nits . However off campus placements go much higher almost 20 lakhs for B.tech CSE students. Still on campus placement is pretty good due to extensive alumni in high ranks of organisations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is rather low for non NRI students just 60000 for college and 36000 for hostels which is the biggest feature for this college. And fees may be refunded to you if you are economically poor. So yes it is rather feasible for B.tech students in here.
Fees and Financial Aid
For students having low economic resources a scholarship is there on the basis of which all your fees is refunded to you.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are really cheap and seems really good in starting however as time goes on food quality deteriorates. Bathrooms are really dirty. Ground inside the hostel are almost never maintained. Good thing is that rules are relaxable so you never have to be worried about returning too late from a place for boys hostel but girls hostel is pretty strict.
Exam Structure
Once a month tests are conducted after which practicals occur. Every few months a semester comes. day can become rather Kong from 10-5 some days but it is rarely so. Checking totally depends on the teacher and your writing and then what you have written.
Admission
I got good rank and then was called for online counselling. In last round I got my desired branch and was then called in college for admission. There were a lot of formalities took me almost 3 hours to get admission in college then I had to work for hostel too.
Faculty
Faculties in HBTU sucks. I am not sure if they are equal to other colleges or not but for a guy just coming from 12 they suck having wierd accents etc. They are also not very much interested in student welfare and entire chapters maybe given to study on your own.
