Internship Opportunities

I gave JEE Mains and my percentile was 98.1 percentile. Through JOSAA counselling , I was allotted a seat in NIT Jamshedpur , Branch ECE as my rank was 4569(OBC) and 19303(general) . I took a seat through the OBC quota. The Admission process was quite simple . After you lock your seat in the JOSAA counselling , you will have to upload the document on the JOSAA website enlisting some are medical certificate, copy of seat locking , quota certificate(if availed) and mark sheet of 10th and 12th. After that, the college will call you for the physical check. Like your birthmark and submitting some legal documents like anti ragging certificates and affidavit(you will get the list from the college). Don't worry they will give you enough time to submit all the document and some professors will also be assigned for your help.

All the courses are very good here and the professors and very supportive. Special care is given for the completion of the syllabus and you can contact any professor in case of any doubt. I choose ECE because with the rank in jee mains this was the best course and the best college for me. Every branch has a student strength of approx 120. All the professors here are well qualified so don't worry. If you came here after clearing JEE MAINS, certainly the exams will not be a trouble for you. The syllabus is manageable and you can get marks even if you start studying 10 days before the exams. The exams are taken timely (months of semesters are march and august.

There are fewer companies that give internships in this college. Further, the paid internships are also very less. If you want to get an internship then you have to apply off - campus for it. If you get an internship you will get a great environment to explore and learn. Projects totally depend on which company you got an internship in (like tech or core) so you can apply for any company it's up to you. If you want to go into the development field then you can choose a tech company and gain experience and this will help you a lot in the 4th year placements as it will give you an extra edge over others who didn't get the internship.

From the third year, students start getting internships from companies. The internship opportunities are not much in the third year but once you reach the fourth year placements stats are too good. The companies visiting the campus are Paytm, amazon, juspay, groww, TCS, Infosys, ola,itc, Adani, royal Enfield Aditya Birla and many more. Total offers in 2021 are 800+ and the highest package is 37.5 LPA. Placements in CS is 100%, placement in ECE is 96.5% and in EE is 96.15%. Overall placement from the college is 91.6%(JUST WOW!!!). Mean packages in cs,ece,ee,me,civil are 17.6lpa,16.3lpa, 9.6lpa, 8.9lpa, 7.51lpa respectively.The total company that visited our campus in 2021 is 150. Overall the placement is just awesome as you can guess from the above data. Here abundant core companies come. I personally want to go to a tech company after graduation. If you want to prepare for any civil service exam or CAT then also the environment is very good for studying

The fees here are lower than most of the nits. In the first year, you have to pay around 1 lacs. and after the first year, the fee is 80k. If your family income lies between 1 lac to 5 lacs you will get a 2/3 fee waiver on tuition fee and if the income is below 1 lac then there will be full remission on the tuition fee. (tuition fee is 60k). There are many scholarships here that you can apply for from the official website. There is no such opportunity for jobs inside the campus while you are studying( remember I am not talking about the placements which are very good here).

The fests here are really awesome naming them - cult fest, Ojas, Technica. The collection of books in the library are also very good and you issue any book. Recently, the new academic building is built and is open now with each classroom having a storage capacity of 200 students!! There are smart classes and air conditioned. For extracurricular activities, we have lots and lots of clubs so we have sports and activities throughout the year. There is no swimming pool inside the campus. The gym inside the campus is not in a good condition so if you want to go to the gym, you have to go outside the campus and pay extra money for it. Some of the clubs here are Pheonix, Invicta, aahwan, rays, drift, NSS, Sankalp. From technical to cultural to social we have a club for everything.

In the first year, you will have to share your with one student but from 2nd year you will get a separate room with an attached balcony in the mega hostels with 7 floors and lifts!!! There are LAN is hostels but speed is not often good in some of the rooms so it depends on your luck which room you get. The food here is good and edible. You have to compromise with the quality of food if you are living in a hostel and that is a fact. The hostel is given to all the students there is no shortage of rooms and the hostel and good and well maintained. The hostel environment is also pretty awesome and affordable (30k/year). You don't have the option of not taking the hostel as the hostel fee is included in the semester's fee so whether you live or not you have to pay the fee.
