Great Experience

Ravenshaw takes admission of only 2 students per state. So it was completely on a merit basis. The top 2 applications from all states get selected in the first list. If seats are available then you might get lucky in the 2nd or 3rd list. The admission process and experience was great. Everything thing was properly organized and the process was hassle-free.

It was basically of my parents choice because it has a good name and was relatives used to stay nearby. The faculty was really nice that time, they were really friendly and helpful. They all had either PhD or a Master. Term exams were timely until and unless there would be some political or elections issues. But the situation is better now. It was not difficult to pass the exams, but yes it is very difficult to score good marks.

Internships are not compulsory, it depends upon students interest. College doesn't provide internship opportunities. But college encourages us to do internships and make our final year project around it.

Students get eligible from the 5th sem. All big MNCs come from placements like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte etc. All take bulk placements, generally, more than 50-60 students get selected for each company. Around 80-90% of students get placed every year and in good companies.

When I joined the fee was 30000/- pr year. Fees generally increase by 5000 every year. But that can differ now. I got placed in TCS as a Trainee after my BBA. The initial package was around 12000/- per month, which gradually increased later.

There is a department-wise fest that generally happens in March every year. Also, every hostel have their own annual function and everybody is invited to boys hostel annul functions, but only girls are invited in girls hostel annual function. All types of books for every course is available in the library. Library fees are included in the course fees. BBA classrooms have amenities like AC and Watercolour. Sports like Football, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Basketball etc are available in the college. But it is not compulsory if anybody is interested they can join.

I took college hostel, there were not such good amenities to hight. We had sharing room, 6 people in one room, had a small cupboard for each person and one table chair per room. The washroom was common, which were cleaned only twice every day. Frood was also of not good quality. The menu was fixed. But there are 5-6 girls hostel in the university. And all the amenities and food menu differ from each other also the cost per meal. It is very much affordable as per meal cost is around 20 Rs. The registration process is not that easy, only merit students get a hostel. It completely depends upon the top application and the number of rooms available in each hostel. You can't choose the hostel or even the room.
