Remarks
Admission procedure in Microbiology was based on the "First Come First Serve" policy. Criteria were pass marks in Physics Chemistry and Biology in HS. There was no age limit. HS mark sheet, photo identity proof, photograph and the printed copy of the admission form was required on counselling day. A draft of INR 10500 had to be made from the nearest branch of Axis bank and had to submit to the counselling authority. Thus the admission procedure was completed.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was passionate about Biology from childhood. So I choose this subject. The faculty: student ratio in our department is 1:20. Our all faculties are highly qualified and their minimum knowledge is M.sc in Microbiology and maximum Post-doctorate from IISC Bangalore. Teaching ability and knowledge was extremely wonderful. There were total 3exams in a 6month semester. The question was average but not tough to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of Microbiology is expensive & it is costly to study. Around 11000 per semester was taken from us which is too expensive for rural & lower economy students like me. I didn't get any scholarship or financial assistance or job from my college.
Campus Life
The name of our annual fest was "Anandam" which was held in the last week of February or the first week of March. The tech fest was named "Satyendranath Bose Project Mela" which was held in the 2nd or 3rd week of March. Our library was too good & maximum types of books required are stocked, a digital library also presents where web journals can be read. Class or departmental libraries are also quite good. They offered free books for poor students like me Sports annual programme was held every year and a common room where all types of indoor games facilities. There was a social media (Facebook) group named "Midnapore College friends" by the students.
Other Applied Colleges
