Remarks
My rank was 74. I wanted to take admission to a good college, and GP Dhanbad was a reputed institution, so I opted for it. I applied for a diploma in mechanical engineering. But this college is good for Civil Engineering. The placement process was too easy, and I found no difficulty in that.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are five courses in my college, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Metallurgy, and Diploma in Computer Science. There are good faculty for civil students, but other branches are not that in comparison to that. The campus is not that big, classrooms are old fashioned, benches are also too old. The faculty for other branches are inexperienced, and the BTech students are Part-time lecturers. In reality, I was too disappointed, as my rank was good, I could have got any college in Jharkhand. Overall, it's an average college.
Placement Experience
Companies visited till now are Usha Martin, land T, Jindal, JSW, overall 20% of students gets placement merely. I want to do BTech after getting the diploma degree from here. The highest package offered is 3 lakh, minimum package 1.5 lakh. Companies come here for placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Here student from OBC, SC, ST gets three scholarships in 3 years from E-Kalyan, till now I have not got any job, but I have given interviews in 3 companies, Land T, Jindal, Usha Martin. No other scholarships are given.
Campus Life
There are no such websites, neither does the college organise any function, the campus is not that good, not a social club. There are 4 hostels in the name of infrastructure, also the campus has no boundary, it is open from all sides with no security, the students. There is no meal facility inside the hostel, the students have to cook on their own.
