I applied for MBBS in other Government Colleges over India but didn't join as I couldn't clear the cutoff. I did not avail any quota, I belong to the General category and I'm a male. One has to clear Neet with good marks for getting a government college, I scored 608/720. The minimum marks for admission this year were around 565 for the general category. The minimum age is 17. One has to apply online for counselling of colleges through Mcc or state counselling portal, if you're alloted a college, you have to report with all of your documents like mark sheet, identity proof, etc and the fees for the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS is a dream for many students and I chose this course as I was ambitious about being a doctor. The faculty student ratio in each department is around 1:40. The faculty is well qualified , postgraduate in their respective course. The teaching method is good. Term exams occur in an interval of 6 months and one has to work hard to score good.
Internships Opportunities
The students are provided with internships for learning in the affiliated hospital which has a good patient flow for better learning and a salary of Rs 17500 per month. Interns get to work under the well-qualified doctors of the hospital and learn to work in the medical environment easier.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are constant for 4 years, Rs 430000 per annum which is relatively high compared to government colleges of other states. Scholarships are provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories which includes full or partial refund in fees. In the fifth year, an internship is provided with a salary of Rs 17500 per month.
Campus Life
The annual fest is held around October and includes a lot of cultural and sports activities. The library is well managed and we'll occupy with all the required books. Lecture theatres are air-conditioned while labs have fans and well enough ventilation. The campus is well equipped with a gym, playground and tennis, basketball and badminton courts. The college lacks any considerable societies.
Hostel Facilities
The room is spacious with a fan and a desk, chair, almirah for each student. Meal quality is good enough and there is a regular weekly menu with different servings each day. The hostel registration occurs on the day of admission and is quite affordable, 5000 per annum. The hostel is situated on the campus itself.
