Remarks
IBS accepts CAT / NMAT/ IBSAT scores which are followed by GD and PI. The minimum age required to apply for the process is 19 years and there is no upper age limit and students in the final year of graduation can also apply. The admission process was very smooth and good. Very good. We had our introduction session for forty-five minutes with various company heads. Then we had our group discussion, had to wait very long for it and a panel of two members was observing the candidates.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty-student ratio is good is 1:30. Faculties are either PhD or have very good corporate experience and they are very supportive and always ready to help. Almost 30 years of experience for some faculties. We had 2 exams per sem. Midterm and final term exams and in between these exams we have to give lots of cecs, presentation, etc.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is compulsory for all students and only a few students get to work in companies like JIO studio, JPMC, Deloitte, Amul, DHL, etc rest of them work for startups and around 40% of students only received a stipend from the companies. At the end of our sip, we have made a project whose marks is added in the 2nd semester,
Placement Experience
IBS has its own placement cell which is responsible for the placement of every student. Companies like JPMC, Dellotie, ITC, Lodha, Blackrock, etc visit our campus but only half of the students get placed in good companies and the rest has to work in an average company. The average package provided is 6 lakh and 15 lakh is the highest package was given last year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee of the course is 8.1 lakh which is to be paid in 5 instalments. We have a bridge payment option for our fees. But college didn't even reduce a single penny and took infrastructure fees from us even when we haven't even been to the college due to covid. Provision for giving scholarships is there on the basis of marks obtained in the semester exams.
Campus Life
Campus life is average, clubs organize activities for the students which is fun and also good for the overall development of students. There are so many clubs in which one can be part of like Kautilya, M360, Markophilia, Synergy, Tarksah, etc. Kounflux is the main feast of the college in which different B-schools participate, IBS has a library in which one can found all the books and business magazines.
Interview Experience
GD and PI took place in IBS Hyderabad for which I have to wait for more than 45 min. GD topics were generally from business news, current affairs, etc. After GD my interview was taken by a panel of two members and they ask some general questions regarding the domain. I prepared for these in my cat coaching.
