Remarks
I first applied To Hindustan Aviation Academy Bangalore. But the college was so far and eventually, I got selected in Kristu Jayanti College. The Admission process was pretty simple and had an interview with 2 professors. They were very friendly ad gave me a brief about my course and helped me to select the course according to my 12th marks then I had a meeting with the vice principal of the college Fr . Dr Augustine George. He briefed me about the college guidelines(average marks, minimum percentage) etc and made me sign the rules and regulations guidelines of the college. The criteria for admission was a minimum of 60%. Then there was the payment of the fees which included donations, other state fees etc. the college allowed to were formal dress Monday to Thursday and casuals on Friday to Saturday. The college gave us uniforms to be worn at important management functions, Industrial visits etc. ID card was a must Rule. Students without Id Card is not allowed in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Before the pandemic, the aviation industry had a Booming market. I was interested in this course because it had better opportunities aboard and I was interested to migrate abroad. The course is like every normal BBA course. The specialization will be taught only in the 3rd year. The course was a 3 year course that contained 6 semesters. The average attendance percentage to pass a semester was 85% and the average semester marks were 60%. The teachers are very friendly and experienced. Faculties who worked in big corporates also worked in the college. They would help us give a brief about the competitive world and how to excel in our career. We had 6 papers in a semester and an add on credit course paper. A semester was around 6 months and we had a midterm and a semester exam. The semester examination papers were around 100 marks. The Midterm exams were easy to pass and the semester exam needed a lot of learning. The portions were direct textbook questions.
Internships Opportunities
I have no idea about the internship and the placements. I have heard internships are given to MBA students with a 6 week program etc. The recruiting starts in October. Recruiters from different companies are brought to the college or they are given a form. The college kept a record of 100 percentage recruitment records.
Placement Experience
the college provides Placement offers during the starting of the 3rd year. Many students have got placed in Ey, Accenture, Wipro etc. As the package offers are not clear because I have"not reached the 3rd year. Not all the students get placed in good companies but they get placed through the college. After my degree, plan to work in some companies and get an experience certificate and want to migrate abroad,
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees were yearly based. In the first year the fees are around 80000rs and in the 2nd year and 3rd year the fees are around 70000. The total cost after graduation will be around 4 -5 lakhs which includes hostel fees, other college expenses etc. Campus selection and scholarships up to 1 lakh are given to students. Part times jobs are given outside the college which helps students to cope up with monthly expenses and pocket money.
Campus Life
The college gives importance to fests and business quizzes etc. During the first year, we had a college fest called Accumen where we divided ourselves into a company with different departments presented our ppts and projects . The college has a big library which has different guides, previous years question papers. All classrooms are spacious and contain a projector and a whiteboard. The teachers are given respective rooms in the staff room. The college has annual volleyball and football competitions. We had inter college fest called savishkar which was also a project. The college leaves us with a lot of memories. The college has a portal in TCS which are given to parents to know about the academic progress of the student and the fees and payment details etc. The college has its own website which provides study material to students and revision papers etc.
