
Remarks
I'm a student of the BSC Agri(Hons) 6-year program. I got admission to 10th base. For getting admission to CCSHAU, one has to qualify for the entrance exam with a minimum of 40 marks. There are a total of 50 seats available for the 6-year program and the entrance exam consists of 100 marks including 60 marks in agricultural and 50 marks in science. The selection of 50 students is based on a merit list. 10 seats for the SC category. 26 for the general category and 14 seats for OBC.
Course Curriculum Overview
In first 2 years of 6 year program, the subjects are - math/bio, chemistry, physics, English, computer. After successful completing the first 2 years, students are promoted to 3rd year where thet are taught agricultural subjects like agronomy, pathology, entomology, agrometeorology, etc. For each subject, 2 teachers are assigned. Both theory and practical course have separate faculty.
Internships Opportunities
No private company is involved in an internship. In the final year of a bachelor's degree, the students have to go to the KVK alloted to them. Where they have to prepare a report of the field, crops, revenue, etc
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee varies from semester to semester. The top 20 students are awarded scholarships for each semester. Every year,1 student who has scored more marks than others get the chance to continue their further studies in Japan on a scholarship basis.
Campus Life
The college consists of an advanced library. For CCA, there is separate hall. The common fest include bhangra fest, fresher, annual sports meet, inter college games, inter University games, etc. For sports activities, there is giri center in the university campus.
Hostel Facilities
There are 6 boys hostels and 1 girls hostels for senior and junior students. The hostel rooms are well maintained and each hostel has its own mess. The meal is Cooked in a cooperative mess. Hostels are located in the main campus of the university.
