GLAET, i don't remember the exact score, but i scored about 300. I opted this college because of scholarship. GLA was a reputed institute in our area and had a huge campus. Its mechanical engg was one of the best in all UPTU colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was mostly done in classrooms, practical exposure was good but there was no research work that we were suppose to do. But now they have made some labs and they are starting some research work.
Internships Opportunities
No, students had to apply outside college to secure internship positions in IITs PSU and private companies.
Placement Experience
Placement was good as all of us received atleast 2 chances of getting placed. But quality of placements were not that good as most of the students got jobs in extremely under ratted companies were they could not survive for even few months. Most of them got placed between 2.5-3.5 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
30 K scholarship for 90% above students and for top ten students there was a provision of cash price. All Public sector and private banks offer education loan.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes we have a alumni network but it is not helpful. Senior students are good at advice which plays an important role. Yes we have a alumni network but it is not helpful.
Exam Structure
Exams were hectic as we had lot of exams. 2 mid semester and 1 final semester exam for each subject.
Admission
I registered for GLAET through university website and choose centre for written exam.There was a fee (1500 INR)that was to be paid for admission form. After i receive my score i got admitted to college within few days of exam.
