Sasikumar's Review On Muthayammal Engineering College - [MEC], Namakkal

I scored 980/1200 in HSC Exam. (165.75 cut-off). Few relations are studied in that college. They gave good review about my college.

I am not interested to learn and mechanical parts, civil, circuits anything. So i selected Information Technology. Totally 8 semester. Each semester will consist of other department papers. Very difficult to learn, but i get good marks in all papers. Because of anna university grading system.

No internship and anything. My college did not arrange any companies for internship. If students have own interest means, they arranged some companies for internship and gain some knowledge in that.

In end of the batch some companies are came. In my 2012 batch totally 450 students are placed at various companies. Particularly, 101 students are place in TCS average of 3.25 lakh per annum. Wipro recruits 49 students average of 3 lakh per annum. Tech Mahindra recruit 25 students average of 2.8 lakh per annum. And some Non it companies recruit some students.

I think it is expensive compare than some other colleges. It took nearly 120000 per year, Odd semester fees: 37500, Even semester fees: 20000 Placement fees: 5000 per year, Others (books,industrial visit,training,events): 6000 per year.

Completion of first year they conduct alumni meet. After that it stopped. We lose our senior communication after an year. But during college days our seniors guided very well.

Totally 8 semesters. Each semester have 6 papers. Last semester have only 3 papers and 1 project. One important thing, in our college they will conduct CAT exam. Not Common Aptitude Test. Continuous Assessment Test. Daily morning 9.15 to 10.15 we need to write a exam.

I applied anna university general counselling. They verified my form details and call for me to attend counselling. I went to chennai and attended the counselling. Nearly 800 students are attended in the category of 165 cut off marks. Finally i choose Information Technology branch in Muthayammal Engineering College.

Not that much of experience. Some staffs are directly came from ME/M.Tech. Few faculties have some experience in corresponding field. But all faculties taught good lessons for me. Assignments are over, daily assignments, daily exams. I feel like a school.
