Remarks
The admission process was fully online. Everything was to be done online as per the guidelines given by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. I had applied for bcom course in 4-5 colleges and got calls from all the colleges but finally opted for Udhna Citizen Commerce College as I heard that this was the best college in my locality. As I belong to the general category, I didn't opt for any quota. The minimum marks required to get admission in this prestigious college is about 50% and the admission is given fully on merit basis.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I had keen interest in doing MBA and in order to perform well in MBA, I thought doing Bcom would be beneficial for me as it would provide me a great scope for the Mba course and its scope and this was my good decision. The faculty student ratio is 25:1. All the faculties are well qualified in their respective fields as all of them have qualified for UGC NET exam. The exams are held semester wise for the university and for college Mid term exams which consists of MCQ and descriptive take place.
Internships Opportunities
A few local companies and businesses visit here for students to indulge in their internship programme. Few of them are paid while few are unpaid but every student enrolling for internship gets certificate from their respective companies. I had done online internship program with a local company of surat and it was unpaid but I got the certificate which would be helpful in making my resume very strong. The internship was for atleast three months as far as I remember. Overall it was an wonderful experience.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees hike policy of this college is nominal as the fees is in control of the University. The cost to study is not much and every student studying here can easily afford to pay the fees every semester. Various scholarships are provided in our college. The students who top in their respective fields are awarded at the annual function and their fees is reduced to 50%. The faculties provide financial assistance to those whose financial position is not so good. As no placement are provided, i didn't get any job
Campus Life
The annual fest is held every year in February but for the last two years, it's not happening due to the ongoing pandemic.
