MBA IN MIET

Earlier I have applied for the Jammu University but just because of not making it to the final list I couldn't take admission there and MIET is also affiliated with the Jammu University and also works under the guidelines given by Jammu University, so that's why I took admission in MIET. I didn't avail any quota during the admission process. For taking admission to MIET you must have to complete your graduation with a maximum of 50% marks, CAT/MAT exam is also necessary and GD/PIriund also take place in the institute.

My father is a businessman and he wanted me to join his business and helps him as a helping hand so to acknowledge more about the marketing sector I opted for this course. There were 70 students and 10 teachers in our batch. The teachers in MIET is really well qualified and supportive holding the degrees of PhD, Mphil, etc. from the top institutes in the country. The term exams generally conduct on the time and are easy to pass.

Companies like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, ITC provides internship opportunities to the students and assign them the roles according to their field. Like I belong to the marketing sector so they gave me a role to find what new marketing strategies should the company follow to attract more people towards at and gave me various marketing related roles during my tenure.

Pre-campus placement process starts from the 3rd semester and companies like HDFC Bank, ITC, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank etc visits the campus for offering many job opportuinities to the students and the average salary they offers is around 6-8 lakh p.a. Almost 90% of students gets the camous placement before the ending of their course.

In a comparison of other private colleges/institutes providing MBA with the fees expenses in MIET is very reasonable and affordable as MBA is an expensive course so doing MBA in 72000 INR p.a. is not so much expensive at all in comparison of other colleges, MIET doesn't provide any kind of scholarship to the students. Various companies come to the campus for internships and the avg, stipend depends upon the performance of the individual.

A techno-cultural fest named "SAMMILAN" take place on the campus every year where the students from the different departments and colleges get a chance to showcase their talent. A huge amount of books and journals are available in the library of MIET. The classrooms are well-furnished and have projectors installed in them which helps the students while giving their presentations. Every year Inter College and Inter University competitions take place on the campus. ABVP and NSUI are the two social groups run by the students.

The topic of my GD was " How political factors impact the growth of a business". And after passing out the GD round you'll get a call/email from the university side regarding the conduct of your PI which mostly conducts on the university campus. I took the help of my teacher for preparing these rounds.
