The best college I have ever ever studied in.

So, I got 61 percentile in my 12th standard. So then I chose to go for the graduation in arts. The college's I have applied was Ravenshaw University, BJB College and Rajdhani College. Later I got the selection in RAVENSHAW UNIVERSITY on the second attempt. As I am a national sports player in tennis. I was selected in a sports quota. Later I did the admission in philosophy honours. The reason behind studying at RAVENSHAW UNIVERSITY is that it is a reputed college in Odisha as well as in other parts of the country. Even it is known in different other parts of the world. It is the oldest University in Odisha founded in 1868. Age criteria for applying:- students must have passed 12th with a minimum of 70% then only you stand a chance of getting into the selection process. There is a certain percentage you need to have in different streams. So you have to have above that percentile. The admission process is quite smooth. Teachers in the admission cell are so cooperative that students don't feel awkward

The reason behind taking philosophy as my honours are that I was very much interested in this subject. Faculty in the philosophy department are so highly qualified and very cooperative in every field. We have a strength of 30students and we have a faculty of 10 highly qualified teachers. And about the teaching method, they are so easy to understand even if the student doesn't understand they are ready to explain it at any time possible. Exams are held in every 6months gap and students doesn't find any difficult to pass in examination especially in internals. As it is marked by our own faculty members.

The college does provide internships for the students. The various companies take part in these internship programs. As it is the reputed college. Students can avail the of internship opportunities in the college.

College does provide the placement as well as the job opportunities for the students after the completion of their courses in the college. Students do get a decent amount of package provided by the various companies that came in the placement. We have a different placement cell in the college. Students can ask about various placement related issues they are facing.

Fees are quite minimal as compared to other colleges. Just because it is a government college. And it has a very vast infrastructure. Students can avail of the scholarship if their parents have an income below 2.5 lacs. It has decent fees for the scholarship. Yes, they can avail financial assistance also talking to the admission cell department. Students can also get the job placement in various corners of the country with a good package.

There are many cultural events as well as sports, fest, book events etc in the college. Annual sports are held every winter season. We have the biggest and the oldest library in Odisha i.e, Kanika library one of the renowned libraries in the state. The extracurricular and the sports activities on the campus are so fun and enjoyable that students can so case their talent in any sports they are mastered in that is lawn tennis, table tennis, cricket, football, basketball, volleyball etc. We have also a student union inside the campus.
