Internship/Live Project

There were 2 rounds for admission : 1) An online aptitude test based on maths, grammar &logical reasoning. 2) Two rounds of interviews in campus where I was asked some tenchnical & practical questions.

I wanted to pursue my career in brand management and SP Jain was the only reputed insitution in the whole of India to be ofefring a full-fledged course in Luxury Brand Management with an exposure in Milan- the fashion capital of the World. The faculty themselves were luxury professionals from the industry who had great insights about the amrket and helped us prepare for our careers. We mostly had case studies and presentations after the completion of every module which was definitely challenging.

Estee Lauder - Marketing temp, Gucci - Retail Intern, Sugar Cosmetics - Social Media Intern, Purple Style Labs, The Indian Luxury Network, Rose Room, We either had to choose between an internship or a live project to work on for 2 months.

The 3rd semester was the period when students became eligible for placements. Companies like Estee Lauder, Sugar Cosmetics, Juice Salons, purple Style Labs, Gucci offered internships/jobs. I was offered full-time placement at Juice Salons and LYN Nail brand as their Social Media Marketing Consultant & Content Writer.

The tuition fees in Mumbai were around Rs 4.75L and in Milan was around 7.5 lakhs. The total cost including other expenses for outstation students in Mumbai and Milan summed up to around Rs 25 lakhs. students with full attendence received some perks on financial assistance.

In our term in Mumbai we had special days such as 'Traditional wear day', 'cartoon day' and festivals such as Navratri were celebrated in campus with teachers & students dancing their feet off during Garba. The library was equipped with useful books and journals whereas the classrooms had comfortable furniture and ideal teaching equipments. Table tennis & carrom was our everyday muse.
