MBA- SMVDU Review

I applied for the Rayat Bahra Institute but didn't get admission there because of not getting good marks in the PI round. I didn't availed any scholarship for taking admission. For taking admission here,one need to be graduate with the minimum 50% marks and need to be appear either in the CAT/MAT/CMAT and even they conduct an entrance examination "SMVDEE" and you can apply for this entrance exam on the official site of SMVDU and once your name get shortlisted you will get an offer letter from the university.

My dad is a busineessman and he always wanted to me to join his business and MBA is the only course which offers to learn and upgrade a person's managment skills that's why i opted for this course. There were 10 teachers over 50 students. The faculty in SMVDU is well educated and holds many years of experience in the field of education and the teaching method is really unique from the other teachers. The exams conduct mostly on the time.

Companies like HDFC, ICICI, Sriram, Uflex visits the campus for giving internship opportunities to the students from the different departments and offers them avg. stipend of INR 5000-10000. In my internship I got different roles from the company based on my capability and skills to deal with the people.

In the beginning of the 3rd semester students become eligible for the campus placements and companies like ICICI, HDFC, SRIRAM, AXIS, etc. visits the campus for providing campus placements to the students and offers them a minimum salary of 5-10 lakh per annum. TAlking about the percentage of students getting placements is not ood at all only 50-60% of students gets the chance to get placements.

If we will talk about the fee structure as compare to other colleges in jammu then the fee structure of SMVDU is little bit high. They only provide scholarship facilities to the students who got more than 80 percentile in the CAT/MAT/CMAT. The avg. stipend a student gets during his/her internship is 5000-10000.

Tatva is the annual fest taht take place in the university for the management students where the students participate and display their talent in front of other students and the university members. There is availibility of books and journals of the different departments in the library. SMVDU conducts a sports fest every year where the students from the different colleges can also take participate in it. VIKALP is the social group run by the students.Overall the campus life is just great.

For the students who belongs to jammu city has to take the hostel in SMVDU as it is compulsory and the hostel fee and mess fee is included in the semester fee. Talking about the facilities provided in the rooms every room is properly vantilated with a very beautiful view infront and the room comprises of beds and almirah with non-attached washrooms. The meal in mess is not so good at all as compare to the food we get in our home.

The topic i got in my GD was "Ethics or Profits". After passing out the GD round PI round happened where the intreviewer asked me some general knowledge questions to check my general aptitude and after passing out the PI round my name get shortlisted and i got an offer letter from the university.
