ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

I took the admission through upsee examination in which I scored 284 marks with 11,653 ranks and I applied for colleges like JSS, ABES, IET, KIET, SRMGPC, BBDNIT, GL BAJAJ, but I added these colleges on fee waiver seat(in this you have to show an income certificate with a max salary of 2 lacs) by applying through fee waiver seat, more than half of the fees of college will be paid by the govt. But in this seat, you have to score min 300 marks with a rank of min 7,000. While every college has its particular rank on which they provide. If you want admission in this particular college with branch computer science and you belong to general, you should have to score a minimum of 240 marks which brings up your rank to about 20,000. In the counselling process, you choose colleges with many branches you want. But there's an important point which you need to keep in mind i.e the college you preferred first will be given to you according to your rank. So you should keep those colleges on top which you want.

I choose computer science and engineering because I like programming and problem solving. Also, it has maximum scope in jobs. There is 1 faculty on every 65-70 students per subject. Every teacher is Mtech/MSc/PhD qualified. There are a total of 8 semesters(2 semesters per year). it's not that difficult to pass the examinations. It's just that the papers are so lengthy which takes a lot of time to attempt any particular question.

Internships are very important for students who are seeking for jobs as it gives an experience and knowledge of company's work and finance. Internships are offered at the time of commencement of the 7th semester. Most of the times companies don't give stipends, big companies like Wipro, cap Gemini and many more offer it. Projects depend on the knowledge of students and the language known by the students. They represent their project of college.

As I mentioned earlier also that SRMGPC is one of the best colleges in terms of placement in Lucknow. Students are eligible for placements from the commencement of the 8th semester. There are many companies which visit our colleges almost every year like Cognizant, Byju's, Accenture, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Mahindra and many more MNCs. About package, to be very honest, in branches like CSE, IT the average package is min. 3 lacs. Last year the highest package was 19 lacs offered by Amazon. About 85-90% of students get placements every year. About myself, I want to clear the GATE examination.

Total fees of BTech first year is approx 1.23 lacs but the benefit is that you have to pay small amounts in the gap of a month like 20,000 per month. In the second year fee is 1.08 lacs. About scholarships, you can apply for a UP govt scholarship or a National scholarship. UP govt scholarships are more beneficial than national scholarship as it rewards you more than half of you yearly fee. It's hards for general category students with an above annual income of min 3 lacs to get these scholarships. Regarding placement or jobs, SRMGPC is one of the best colleges in Lucknow. Placement cell works a lot on every student to get jobs. And many companies like cognizant, cap Gemini, Infosys, HCL, Accenture etc, comes almost every year to hire students from our college.

Coming to curricular activities and sports, this college is the best. SRMGPC group has a total of 15-18 clubs like grobotics, Dracula, sports, decoders, and many more which organizes interesting events for their members, you just have to be a part of these particular clubs. Every year SRMGPC organizes a fest called Antaragni in which every club performs their best to entertain the audience. About the library, you can get every book here. SRMGPC library contains every book of any particular subject written by different authors. You can participate in any sports you want like cricket, football, basketball, lawn tennis, indoor games like chess, carrom, table tennis and many more. Besides all these activities, SRMGPC contributes their hands in social activities also to help needy people, villages and to raise their voice against any violation of inactivity.
