Remarks

I filled up the Delhi university form and got my name in the college of vocational studies South campus on the very first list. I simply go to that college and got my documents verified and simply the admission is done. I didn't avail any quota I'm from the general category. The admission criteria for marketing management and retail business is According to a du cutoff in my time in 1 cutoff it goes to 93% and u got 94% in my top 4 subjects and till the last cutoff, the marks can get down in the 80s.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because I have a really good interest in marketing and so it is the best course for me. The faculty of this course in CVS is good teachers are very friendly and will help you out. The students are from all over India. Students come from far places for this course. Almost all teachers have done their Ph.D. In this course, there is a semester system. There are a total of 3years and 2 semesters each year .which means total of 6 semesters. It is very easy to pass as per me you just have to attend classes and if you don't want to attend classes just buy a 10year book and by solving 2-3 previous year question paper from that book you will pass easily.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships are good. Many companies visited like Google, Pepsi, and many others roles offered are according to the course in marketing management you may get marketing manager role in human resource course you may get work.

Placement Experience

3.5

In our college, there are many placements only if you are interested. Aspire cell of the college provides placements .from 3year students can avail placements. Many companies visit our college like Pepsi, Google, etc. The highest package I think is 12 lakhs per annum. And minimum is 2-3 lakh pa. The Percentage of students getting placed is 70%. My plans are for MBA in this field only for better knowledge and jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for this course are 28000 and during admission, you have to pay 10000 and after that 2 years, you have to pay 8000. But the course is worth it. I didn't apply for any job as I'm a 3-year student but there are many jobs and internships. In the college of vocational studies, there is a society named aspire which provides internships and jobs to the entire college. They also had a WhatsApp group. You can even find them on Instagram.

Campus Life

5

Life at the campus is good. If you want to study just attend class or if you don't want to attend or you have some free periods you can chill in the ground or canteen and you can even go out of college easily and there's a select city mall very near to college you can go and chill there with friends. The name of the annual fest is Tatva which is held every year in our college. The library is very big you can go there and read books .every kind of books are available therefrom novel to the coursebook. You can also issue it from the library. Classrooms are very airy and we'll maintained them. There is also a girl's common room in college where only girls can sit and relax in AC. There are many sports activities also like cricket badminton etc. There are many groups called societies run by students like aspire-the placement cell. Cdf- to help needy people.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th or 5th semester. Deloitte , Bain & company, PWC ,EY, Grant Thornton (for consulting services) offer the highest package to roles like analyst and accountant. Other companies such as ICICI Bank, Kotak securities , Inshorts , Urban company,HUL, Wipro,ITC hotels , Appollo Hospital etc. the highest package recorded in 2024 was 23.05 LPA and average package as 6 LPA . 85-90% of the eligible students get the placement, the data might vary as some students opt for 4th year for their research work. My plans after getting the degree lie in marketing or consulting field.

I to be honest don't like my course much but it's not too bad also , it does allow you to have a practical exposure along side your studies. As the pressure of syllabus is not much. Teaching methods are not too good also but not bad too. The difficulty level is not much.

I choose the curriculum on the basis of its heay emphasis on the software development part. It is not really reflects itself in the real-world application, I had to pursue other option to grow my skills. It needs to make it better in the project and application department. They need to work on some real life projects.
