I had applied to many colleges around Bangalore. I have joined Sri Venkaateshwara College of Engineering by management quota. I had chosen Information Science as my course. My admission process was done smoothly and with a good counseling session.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because my aim was to become a Software Engineer. Faculty are well educated, friendly, and motivational. Faculty members are highly educated and well trained. They all have good technical skills and teach well. Term exams come every 6 months. It is quite a moderate level to clear the exam.
Internships Opportunities
SVCE College has provided some companies like Agile Point, Autoliv, Airobotics. They had offered different roles like Web Development, Data Science, ML, and AI Engineer, Back end Development. Projects like real-time projects are assigned during the internship period.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester to the 8th semester. There will be many companies that visit campus. Due to the COVID pandemic, there were fewer companies visited our college in the period of 2020-2021. But placement co-ordinator has made their best efforts in getting reputed companies during this tough times. To name some of the companies on- campus are Jaro, Autoliv, 6D Technologies, Maventics, JK Technosoft Ltd, Sonata Software, Amazon, Quinnox, HP, Squareyard, Agile Point Software Pvt.Ltd, BrightCHAMPS Tech Private Limited, High Peak Software Pvt. LTD, Epiance Software Pvt. Ltd, W3villa Technologies, S.R. Integrated Circuit India Pvt.LTD and pool or off-campus like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, McAfee, L&T, NTT Data, Subex Ltd. and Training Institue like Q-spider. Above 60% of students have got placed in respective companies. My plan is to work in a reputed company after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure of the college is quite moderate. Bus fees vary for each year. The fees hike is constant. I have been placed in Accenture company with 4.5L CTC and as an internship, I was placed in Exotel with 30,000 stipends.
Campus Life
Kalavaibhava is the annual fest. Shrusti and Udyuktha are being celebrated as a technical fest. All branches Textbooks of verified authors with Reference books are available. Sports are given a bit less priority. Bit it is improvised drastically as time went. Extracurricular activities like seminars and workshops are given more priority. All technology workshops are conducted. There are many social groups and activities that are present on social media like Facebook and Instagram.
