Most honest and detailed review of MMMUT

In class 12 I had applied for a total of 8 exams (JEE MAINS, JEE ADVANCED, NDA, UPSEE, MET, AU, BHU, DU) and fortunately, I qualified for all those 8 entrance exams with good ranks. But out of these options, I didn't go for an interview with NDA and after that, the second priority was MMMUT cos it's a gov college and at the same time. Its placement last year was in Microsoft(39lpa) and in Amazon(35lpa). I got GEN 38 in its entrance exam MET(Now admission through JEE MAINS). Because of my good rank, I have been awarded the seat of FW and I get compensation for My tuition Fees( 50000 Rs/year) per year. Earlier admission was taken through the MET exam and if you are in the top 250(GEN) you can expect a seat in MMMUT CSE. Now from this year, it will take admission through JEE MAINS Rank. (age will not be a barrier here) And believe me after top IIT and NIT it's the best option cos of its exponential growth. Must have your 10th, 12th mark sheets, JEE Mains result, Domicile & Income certificates.

This college has a legacy of the CE & ME branch. But in terms of placements, CSE is the best branch and I was eligible for it. So I joined it. Earlier faculty: student ratio was 1:120 but now this ratio is in the IT branch but for CSE it's 1:180. Not actually because instead of having its bad effect it create a nice coding environment in college. Most of the students are talented in skills. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. from IIT or NIT. They are extremely talented and helpful for students. They Make sure no doubt get unsolved. Some faculties have also written books under Cengage publication. College focus on continuous testing. In each semester you will have to read 4 units in each subject and after completion of each unit, the quiz will be taken (a total of 50 marks in each subject are covered by these 4 quizzes and practical exams ). Then at the end of the semester, you will have 50 marks in theory exams for each subject. And the level of the exam is moderate.

College is working intensively to increase internship opportunities for students. This year 2 girls from our college got internships in DRDO. But still for internships colleges have to work harder because most students search for off-campus internship and fortunately they get it because of their talent. Most students get internships on Geeks of Geeks, Coding Ninja, and other platforms as teaching assistants. MMMUT is planning to make internships compulsory for CSE students to give them better industrial experience and also trying to reduce their college burden during internship roles. You can also get a campus internship under any professor. All college and society-related websites are also prepared by students only. Most of the students have many great projects by end of their 3rd year based on web development, Machine Learning, and app development. Some students also get mentioned in the newspaper for their great project that helps to create a change in society.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The placement isn't good for other branches but for CSE and IT it's marvelous and each year increasing exponentially. This year (2020-2021) total of 105 companies visited our campus and 416 students appeared for campus placements out of which a total of 354 students got placed. The placement percentage is 85%. This year Highes package was 25lpa (Tactai software company) then 24 LPA (Myntra ) 4 students at 16lpa (Nuclei ), One at 19.5 LPA, and one at 23 LPA (Walmart). So if you are in the top 10 students of your batch you can expect you will get an average of 20 LPA packages. Last year (2019-20) 39 companies have visited and 398 students have appeared out of which 302 got selected (76 5 placement) with the highest package of 39 LPA in Microsoft (pool campus) and in Amazon 35 LPA (on-campus). At 36 LPA in DE shaw and a total of more than 10 students got above 20 lakhs package (including on-campus and off-campus ).

The fee structure is nice as compared to other government Engineering Colleges. Instead of a hike in fees due to covid hostel fees and user charge is decreased (15565 Rs/year). University has made such arrangements that no student should opt-out of the course due to lack of money. There are already many UP government scholarships that help students to get 30000 Rs to 70000 Rs exemption in college fees(depending on the caste of the student). From this year our Honorable Vice-Chancellor has started a new scholarship program according to which even if a student failed to submit his fees on time. And if he could give a valid reason for that then his few amounts could be reduced and he can definitely pay it later. He will get a degree in serving complete fess but he will be allowed to give all exams. Sit for all placements and internship opportunities. The campus has an internship policy and many students get (15000 Rs to 55000Rs /month ) stipend based on internship.

There are many societies in college (IEEEE, Editorial Board, CES(Computer engineering Society), Codechef Chapter MMMUT, Google student Club, Entrepreneurship Cell, Robotics Club, SAE club ). It has basically two types of the fest ( Annual Tech fest(Techsrijan) and a fest organized by the Editorial Board (Abhuday)). Both are the grand level of the fest with a lot of parties, BGM nights, top guests (Ex guest Comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi), and nearly 50+ events are organized by these societies during the fest. Normally it happens in April but this time due to covid it happened in June and July. It has a great library which is open all 7 days a week. Time differs depending on the day. Library doesn't remain open for 24 hrs but you can easily borrow whichever book you want. It also has updated journals. Classrooms are top-notch with facilities of projectors and experiment labs are also well equipped. It has its own cricket stadium and college give importance to the sport by organizing events.

There are basically 5 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel for bachelors student. Some rooms are well maintained while most rooms are old and need improvement(On complaining anything most of the time it get well in 4 to 5 days). You just have to fill hostel form to get a hostel. The hostel has also a lush green environment. There is also table tennis, badminton, football, cricket kit and you can play whenever you want. Wardens don't force unnecessary rules but completely take care to avoid ragging of new students. You will be much impressed with mess food because it's much better than expected. It's hygienic. You will get a lot of varieties in food, In a day you get meal 4 times( breakfast(8 to 9:30), lunch(1 to 3), snacks(5 to 6), dinner(8 to 9:30)). On each Sunday you will get something even better like paneer, kheer, rasogulla. Some messes have also non-veg but not all mess allows that you can eat non-veg in your room. Location: outskirt of the city but you can get affordable pg.
