A brief review of MVGR

The admissions process is common like any other colleges in AP. You need to get a good eamcet rank to get it. And if you are from general category you need relatively low rank to get a seat as it is one of the best colleges in AP. After counselling you need to submit your original certificates, so better make a copy before submitting them as you might need them later for internship and for applying for various exams.

I love cars, engines since my childhood and that made me choose mechanical engineering. And MVGR is one of the best colleges out there for mechanical engineering. The faculty is qualified to teach you everything you need. And you will get few of the best teachers from whom you will learn a lot but you will also come across less skilled lecturers like any other colleges. There are enough faculty for every subject, there is no shortage. You will have mid exams followed by semester exams at the end. You can get good score by attending classes and do aome studying from the books Available in library.

For interships they will offer you with companies nearby, mostly related to your branch. You can get offer from the other companies apart from these if you want, the college will provide you related documents. You have to do a project in final year and you will have relatively more free time during final year so you can prepare for other exams like gate.

At the end of the third year, you will start getting campus placements. You will he trained in aptitude and reasoning to qualify the first round of placements. Mostly software companies visit our college if you are from mechanical engineering you will get very few core companies like Hyundai, everest etc. But 70% of students gets placed. Maximum of 5 Lakhs per annum is offered which is rare. Apart from those companies you will have opportunities in wipro, tcs, Gemini, amazon etc. If you are even an average student you are most likely to get placed in something.

You will get a scholarship from government if you got an emcet rank. When I studied I got 35000 scholarship from government for every year. You can apply for different scholarship from various sources if you are eligible. Apart from that you will not get any scholarships from the college.

There will be a selection of representatives for each class at the beginning of the course. And teams will be formed to organizing the fest. That will be a good achievement to mention in your resume. There will be events organized regularly to help students get to know each other better. Don't be shy if you have presented an opportunity to participate in those because that will help you alot with your communication skills and people skills.
