Remarks

1) I applied to VIT, SRM, Jamia Millia Islamia, BITS. I got admission into BITS and decided not to join others. 2) I didn't avail any quota. 3) Minimum marks were 269 for M.Sc. Bio. There were no other criteria.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

1) I didn't choose but I got this course. 2) Faculty-student ratio is 1:70 3) The faculty is very experienced and their teaching method for the most part was good. 4) Exams happened at the scheduled date that was predecided at the beginning of the semester and was reasonably hard.

Internships Opportunities

4

1) I did an internship at BIRLA copper. The stipend was 5k/month. 2) I did an internship at Essar Power. This was an unpaid internship. I did a project on water filtration at the power plant. 3) I did a web development internship at an agency in Trivandrum.

Placement Experience

4

1) Students in last year are eligible for campus placements. Usually 7th or 8th semester. Dual degree students had campus placement in the 9th or 10th semester. 2) Companies like Amazon, Microsoft visited campus. 3) Average package was around 6.0 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was increased around the 4th year from 50000/semester to 60000/semester and the overall program cost upwards of 12Lakhs including all costs. I was not hired on campus as I was stuck in Practice School and missed a major chunk of the placement season. I was hired off campus but it was arranged by placement cell wherein they got us an interview with PubMatic which was conducting a drive across Hyderabad for engineering graduates.

Campus Life

5

1) The fests held on campus were Pearl, Verba Maximus, Atmos, and Arena. 2) The library is humongous and has all books on all subjects. 3) The classrooms had projectors, were air-conditioned with proper arrangements for seating. 4) There are Cricket, Hocket, Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, and other sports teams on campus. The campus had Badminton and Basketball courts. 5) Music, Dance, Dramatics, and Crux(tech) are few clubs at BITS Hyderabad.

Hostel Facilities

4

1) Every student gets a single sharing room. The room has a wardrobe, a bed, a table, and a chair. The room is decent-sized. 2) The food is reasonable. The menu is fixed for the week and rotates with special items on the menu every few days of the week. The menu has both North and South Indian cuisine.

The geology has very significant importance to human in more ways but the Geology related jobs are very less in state government and central government. Few geology related companies are give opportunities to students wit. Internships and also provide jobs with tough exam and interview. The companies are Geological Survey of India and NGRI etc.. we expect that jobs in state government jobs but very less in state government in geology related jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite relevant and comprehensive offering a balanced combination of theoretical and practical knowledge for learning. This curriculum helps in developing both conceptual clarity and analytical skills and prepare students well for real - world challenges as well as higher academic pursuits. This curriculum is strong and valuable. The frequency and timing of exams are generally reasonable though at times.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is an amazing course. Helps me understand the concept very deeply the curriculum is also really good. Every teacher has their own way of teaching some can improve but it is fine we can try to study and understand by ourselves a bit. When it comes to internals its of 20 marks we have as such three of them for one sem and avg of 10 is taken from it internals are of 1hr and externals will be about 2hrs 30mins and labs of 3hrs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the biotechnology course includes all the relevant topics needed to gain information about the subject. The curriculum also includes currently developing topics of interest which may gain popularity in the future (like bioinformatics). It thoroughly prepares us for real world applications as we gain exposure to various fields of interest in the subject and get a hands-on training in the subject. Ab area i would like to suggest for improvement is to alot equal no. Of periods to different papers in the subject as each topic has its own value in the academic and career purpose. The internals are conducted every month within a duration of 1 hour for each paper. there are currently 4 internals for our batch, each of 10 marks. The externals or the end semester exams are conducted at the end of the semester approx 6 months, which are of 50 marks. 10 marks is alloted for attendance, bringing the total to 1000.
