Remarks
The trust students across Gujarat, holds in Nirma is the reason it was the first place I thought of doing my BTech from. The university is UGC approved and holds accredition from NAAC agency also. Nirma was ranked 131 in annual BTech programme rankings of NIRF group. The selection of students for BTech admissions are based on the score in GUJCET or JEE Main and scores in these exams are noted for seats allocation.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for Computer Science Engineering and my craze in programming languages and coding was the reason for this. The institute is fully upgraded in terms of course curriculum and technicalities also as students get to have both practical and conceptual knowledge in the best possible ways. There are various technical and academic events across the year for the students of Nirma University
Internships Opportunities
Firstly, I was little confused to confused to participate in the round due to some personal reasons and at last I decided not to participate in it. As I haven't opted in the round I don't know much about it but as per my friends reviews it was a good overall experience for them
Placement Experience
Similar to its MBA placements, BTech placement records of Nirma are also pretty impressive. The 2020 year campus placements had some wellknown firms like Microsoft, Mahindra group, Infosys, Tata consultancy and Reliance group. The highest package bagged by the batch was around INR 18 lacs while my salary was worth INR 10 LPA and was offered to me by TCS.
Fee Structure And Facilities
INR 7.61 Lacs is the whole fee for the 4 year time period of Btech at Nirma University and students will not have to pay any additional expenses then this fee except the hostel fee if they opt for the hostel accommodation. The fee structure is okay due to the quality of the institute more over students fulfilling some particular criterias can also apply to get different kinds of financial aids and grants from the university
Campus Life
Nirma University is spread over a large area and its campus infrastructure is very well designed. The arrangement of all events here is done by the respective committies and clubs and the prominent events of the university are the Cultural activities, debate-quizzes & the academic competitions. Expressions Club,Mess committee, Kaizen,Cultural committee, Placement committee, Chehre & Swayam are the famous societies of the university. The university library is also a great place to learn as there are 50,000+ volumes of books,journals and periodicals.
Hostel Facilities
Although, the institute has a well organised hostel infrastructure and facilities but me along with some of my classmates decided to live as paying guests outside the university. It wasa good decision for us financially as the expenses got distributed among all 4 of us and it helped us to get a great experience which no-one can forget.
Admission
BTech admissions to the the university are entirely based on the GUJCET or JEE Main score of applicants and seat allocation for the programme are also based on the same. The important thing to note is that no interview/group exercise round is there and seats are allocated on the test score only.
