My journey at PU, Puducherry

My University is one of the central universities which is accredited by NAAC with Grade 'A' and is approved by UGC. Also, it is a member of Association of Indian Universities. Moreover, it ranked 54 by NIRF for University and 93 for MBA/PGDM by Business Today in 2020.Most importantly, the course fee is just 50 thousands for two years and that is too affordable for each category. And no doubt, the facilities provided here is too amazing and basically, these are the reasons for which is took admission into this college. Further, to take admission, I filled the application form in July where I provided my CAT score and marks acquired in previous academics.Then, based on my graduation marks and CAT score, I was called for GD and PI rounds post which I paid the tuition fee and secured my seat.

The course duration of MBA is 2 years which is split into 4 semesters. The focus areas of the program are marketing, operations & system, marketing, finance, and human resources. The program is designed such that we are bestowed with foundation course in business and management's core functional areas in the first year. Moreover, in the second year, we are taught with the application oriented elective courses. In addition to this, the course curriculum include 2 weeks entrepreneurship internship as well as major project of 8 weeks to provide hands-on experience.Apart from all above, extra session is conducted where industry experts visit our campus to give lecture and share their experiences, talk series by alumni is the important part of the curriculum. Also, we are taken to the industrial visit and encouraged to participate in management meets and seminars. Furthermore, the highly qualified and experienced faculty members focus on amplifying our leadership skills, managerial skills, soft skills along with the in-depth knowledge of management.

The placement rate of our university is good with 96% every year. Further, the highest package provided to our senior was 12 LPA whereas the average package bagged by most of my senior was 4 LPA. The main role and responsibility of the placement cell of our university is to train, motivate prepare us for the campus interviews. Therefore, the placement cell organises on-campus as well as off-campus interviews, seminars, conference. Most importantly, we go for industrial visit and in addition to this, personality development programs, training to face GD and PI rounds, decision making abilities and so forth. Further, the top recruiting companies that offer campus placement include Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Federal Bank, ICICI Bank Byju's, Wipro, HCL technologies, Infosys, IBM, Accenture, and many more. Moreover, when leading companies will start visiting our campus, I will try perform well in the selection rounds and after getting a job, I will continue doing that first off

The MBA fee in my college is 25 thousands for a year and that for two years, the total fee I paid was 500. The fee structure includes registration and processing fee, tuition fee, university development fund, matriculation fee, study material & handling charges, and recognition fee. Besides this, I paid extra fee for hostel and mess charges. However, our college provide merit as well as merit cum mean scholarships for deserving students. Also, different abled students are given fully free education in our college. Apart from this, the other scholarships in our college include Madanjeet Singh Group Scholarship, Govt. Of puducherry scholarship for those students belonging to U.T of puducherry, for single girl child - Indira Gandhi scholarship, and most importantly, Govt. of India SC/ST/OBC scholarship.

The campus life at Pondicherry University is amazing as we are given so many facilities like shopping complex, canteen with multi-cuisine food, bank, post office, reading hall, health centre, hostel, gym, playgrounds, and we'll maintained classrooms. Apart from these facilities, our college keep on organising various events throughout the year and this acts like cherry on top and so, the events that are conducted in our campus include international yoga day, seminars, fresher's day, farewell function, alumni meet, Akanksha, and many more.Therefore, all because of so many events as well as facilities provided to us, my campus life has been dynamic since our session commenced.
