Entrance Preview
Let me get this straight. I appeared for JEE mains exam and scored a 64 out of a whopping 360. Now this mere statement makes a kind of downgrade image about the college i opted because where will someone scoring this low go. The fact i opted for SRICT is that it was a brand new college just instigated in 2011.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure regarding mechanical engg is quite vast. There is too much to be given to the students in 2nd, 3rd year whereas 1st year is mainly focused at primary learning about the field. The course structure should be divided a bit towards 1st year in order to relieve the complexity of structure.
Internships Opportunities
The college is laid out in the belt of GIDC ankleshwar, hence internship is available very easily. Also students interested in different other internships are encouraged to pursue the same. The stipend part depends on the industry giving internship.
Placement Experience
The placement in accordance with the age of institution is remarkable for students. It achieved 80% placement for the first passing out batch in 2015. And yet it is undergoing placements for the 2nd with percentage rising. The college has MOUs with NCL(CSIR), TPEC, MIAMI UNIVERSITY(Florida) and NEERI.
College Events
There are 2 main events celebrated every year at SRICT. The first is Technovation, the annual technical fest held every sept or oct. The second bei g the annual cultural fest, REVA fest. Both these eve ts have witnessed a significant rise in their level, performance and management. There have been participation as high as 1500 in the latest technovation 16.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible with 70000 annually, that being paid half every 6 months. Apart from that there is exam fees paid separately for GTU which i guess varies from 600-900 every semester. It seems feasible to me because i have not been to a government college where fees are as low as 1500 for boys and free for girls. But then thats an entirely a different story to tell.
Faculty
The faculty part is the best one here. As far as you are interested they are available any time for you to the extent that if you nudge them at their lunch, they would surely take a min out and help if it is urgent. There are faculties who go out the curriculum to deliver new practises in order to benefit students in long term.
