Sayee Sreenath GR's Review On Rajalakshmi Engineering College - [REC], Chennai

I undertook Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions Exam, i don't remember my cutoff marks precisely and i chose rajalakshmi engineering college through counselling and I had the option of selecting any one of the course which the college offered.

Course curriculum are same as Anna University Standards, since our college is affiliated to Anna University Chennai, 1st year syllabus was same for all the stream since it was basic introduction to engineering.

No to the best of my knowledge our college doesn't provide any internship, but it could have changed by now i guess am not sure whether they provide internship at present.

Our college promised us 100% placement opportunity and it has full filled it, those who were eligible for the placements were all placed in any one of the company which came in to our campus. Almost all the Top MNC was there to name a few - Tata Consultant Service, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, CSC. Core related industries such as Hyundai, Kone Elevators, Johnson Elevators.

The fee structure is feasible not expensive when compared to other colleges which are there in Chennai. Overall Fees of Rs. 70,000/-, Tuition Fee - 36,000/-, Lab & other Facilities - 14,000/-, Transportation - 20,000/-, the above mentioned was basic fee structure.

I have no idea about it and i have not availed any loan or scholarship from my college.But i have heard that college provides scholarship for the deserving candidates.

Campus life was a enjoyable one, gender ration was equal in my department, and we were allowed to interact with each other there were no restriction as such, Student parties such as birthday celebration were allowed inside the campus, Sports was given importance too, since our college were champions in volleyball more attention was given to that particular sport when compared to other sports.

Alumni network and senior students are friendly and helpful. Our seniors were super friendly and they have helped us if we had any problems.

I would say our department had the best faculty in the whole college. Our Faculty are well educated in their respective field almost all our faculty were PHD holders and they had a strong knowledge in their fields, and they were very much interested in teaching the subjects to us in a proper easy manner they would give lots of examples would conduct many experiments in lab to make us understand the workings.
