NIT JSR in a nutshell

The admission process is done through JOSAA which held counseling for NITs, IITs, and other GFTIs. I applied to mhtcet but could not manage to get a good rank so I went for NIT Jamshedpur. I had an OBc + girls quota which helped me to secure a good college and good branch. My quota helped me a lot. I got an electrical engineering branch in an nit . Our counseling was completely online and I had no problems to confirm my admission. As the course was going online I had to pay my reduced fees, the admission process and counseling experience was amaing.

I choose electrical engineering because this was an upper branch I was getting in a fairly good college. The faculty-student ratio is 15:1 and the teachers are pretty qualified and help students in their academics a lot. The teachers have mostly graduated from the National Institute of technology and the Indian Institute of technology and have good teaching experience and knowledge about their subject. The examinations are comparatively medium and with good preparation, you can easily score 9+ CGPA and with one night's preparation, you can score 8+ GPA. Exams are good and all the students pass and many scores very good cgpa. The teachers have a very good teaching style which is helpful for overall development and they have very good research facilities.

There were many internship opportunities offered to students from our college. many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, visited our campus amazon offers internship offers to 12+ students every year and also gives 45-60 thousand stipend to every student. Qualcomm and grow also gives internships to many students and they also give a laptop to work till the internship and also a stipend of 30 thousand. there are many more companies that visit our campus and hire the students. more than 50 percent of students from branches electrical, electronics, and computer science engineering are able to grab internship offers. The college training and placement cell work day and night to avail opportune sites for each and every student and the students interested in core sector also get good opportunities to the intern with comapnies.

The placements of college are quite good, the students are eligible for internships from the third year (the pre-final year )students and the fourth year (the final year) students are eligible for full-time offers. Many multinational companies visit on campus to hire students. Some notable companies are Amazon, Flipkart, adobe, arcesium, Qualcomm, groww , Microsoft, tata companies, and many more. The highest package ranges from 39 LPA to 30 LPA for the case and other branches respectively. the average package is 12lpa to 8 LPA depending on branches. the overall placement percentage is 89 percent. my plans after getting the degree are working full time in IT company and earning lots of money.

the fee hike policy is quite flexible. it depends on how frequently the central ministry commands them to hike the fees. the cost to study is affordable. the national institute of technology is one of the most affordable engineering colleges in India. the college provides scholarships for obcs, sc and st category students, they are given scholarships according to their income certificates. the college also has some scholarship plans like tata provides some scholarships for low-income students. Yes, the college provides internships and job opportunities, all are paid and it also has teacher assistant programs and research opportunities for students. some companies give a huge stipend to students with good skills and many students get good stipend internships. The college is pretty good and has decent placements and the student's support system is awesome as usual all national institutes have good placements so does this college.

The library is pretty awesome and has a lot of course books and a lot of books to outsource knowledge. The classrooms are full-fledged the modern technology equipment and it has projector marker and everything. The new academic building which was built in college just adds shine to the amenities provided to the students. Sports facilities provided to the students are great. We have a big ground to play football, handball, volleyball and basketball court and table tennis and every indoor sport also. There are many fests organized for the students like the sports fests and the technical and cultural fests. The college students have created many famous websites and apps and also run many NGOs and many clubs which teach underprivileged students and they help the community a lot.

The room provides all kinds of facilities a student requires like a table chair bed cupboard and many more things. It has 24*7 wifi though the speed is not that great the facilities are good. The menu is quite satisfying and it has veg and non-veg both kinds of food. The hostels are quite affordable and everyone gets a single room for the second year and the hostels have many facilities like a common room, gym and television table tennis and many more. I stayed inside the hostel located inside the college the girl's hostel is provided all kinds of security and facilities like laundry and it has in and out timings. Other than mess it has Pappu da, Amul cafe, and many great restaurants located around the campus. The current mess rate is 32000 per month.
