My college

I applied to the Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology for the course of civil engineering. The admission criteria are based on 12th marks or entrance exams like JEE. The minimum marks percentage required to take admission is above 60%. The admission counselling time is the same as college time.No, I did not face any group discussion. but I give an admission test and interview which is necessary for admission. After the admission test and interview, if you passed the test and interview, an admission form will be given and asked for some necessary documents for the admission process.

I choose the civil engineering course because I see a great demand for this course in the present as well as for the future also. and also civil engineer is very reputed post. about 60 students are in this course. The teaching methods are very good. Also, the teachers are very friendly and helpful which helps students a lot to complete this course. The internal term exams are pretty difficult for students but one can pass the exams if he/she has concentrated well in the class.

AIET College has always been known for its high commitment towards education quantity along with social and cultural enrichments. Our college provides a very good internship opportunity. Many companies like L&T (CE), Pinnacle, Wonder Cement, Shree Cement, Lodha group, Aashiana housing, Unitech, DLF, Ramboll offer roles and jobs to students. College plays an important role in this intership opportunity. The project and tasks are given by companies and college teachers help students a lot in completing their projects and get a good placement.

The placements of this college are very good. Almost every bright or average students get a job in campus placement. The students are eligible for campus placements after the final year examination because campus placements depend upon the final year exam also. About 85% of students got placement on campus. Many companies offer jobs to the students such as Pinnacle, Lodha Group, Wonder Cement, Ramboll, etc. Arya Group of Colleges have developed and evolved STUDENT DEVELOPMENT CELL (SDC) to bridge the gap between academia, Students Skills and the corporate world.

The fee for this course for 4 years is Rs 2.40 lakhs. The fees structure does not depend upon the type of course of engineering in this college. Students of SC or ST got a special discount in the fees structure. Also, merit students got a scholarship on the basis of their marks, the marks should be above 80%. One can also apply for state government scholarships.

The campus life is very good especially for students like me. The college conducts many mock tests for the preparation of the students, also many quiz shows and periodic exams are organised. The library of the college had a great collection of books on every field which help students a lot in knowing new things about their field. Overall in the manner of study, this college is perfect. The Auditorium is the venue for various academic & cultural events. It is acoustically designed with a seating capacity of 500 persons with an excellent communication network that provides the desired connectivity between the Speaker and the audience. The full air – cooled room is fitted with the best lighting & sound facility with video display systems that provide a comfortable atmosphere to help make an excellent presentation.

There are hostels for boys and girls, separately on the campus. Hostel fees are actually very less compared to other universities. We can't say that the hostel facility is the best, but it is pretty decent. There are 2 in 1, single rooms available. Free wifi is available in the hostel. The wifi speed is decent. Mess is available so close to the hostels. South Indian and North Indian foods are provided. The food quality is average. The food is strictly vegetarian. Snacks, milk, tea, coffee are provided. There are stalls available near the hostel where we can buy snacks and stuff. The hostel fee is around Rs 75000 per annum. Other than the infrastructure stuff, we get a good hostel life with friends.
