My life in APS College of Engineering

There was a professor who taught at APS who was a friend of my father who suggested me to apply for APS.I had applied to many top colleges as well as other colleges but I got APS itself in the first round of kcet and under SNQ quota because i was from the obc category. There was no admission criteria as such of minimum marks and age.

I choose B.E in ECE because i was interested in electronics and circuitry. There were'nt many faculties to handle different subjects in the electives, we had to choose what the teacher choose. The faculties were qualified enough to handle the subjects and good teaching from the faculty members. The term exams were conducted each month and it wasn't that difficult to pass them.

Fees is reasonable enough to pay. They don't charge high fee even in management as there are'nt much great facilities given by the college. There was financial assistance given to students through scholarship to pay the college fees. Placement drives were sent by the placement cell as off-campus contacts but there were'nt any on-campus placement drives. Most of the placement drives sent were as off-campus contacts. Only 1 or 2 on-campus placements were done. I got a job as Systems Engineer at Infosys through VTU CPC off-campus contact sent by the placement cell.

The only annual fest i remember is Aakruti 2019-2020 they were conducted in the the month of march. The library has good number of books prescribed by the VTU for each semester. As of amenities in the classroom were benches and a blackboard. Coming to sports there isn't much support from the college for sports. We could hardly get any chance to play sports. Only during sports events two or three days students used to get a chance to play. There were a few extracurricular activities.
