SMVDU Review of MBA

I didn't apply for any other college because SMVDU is a well-known university in the field of providing quality education and also close to my locality so that's why i only applied for this college rather than applying for the other colleges in the state. I haven't availed any quota. For taking admission in SMVDU, one must need to behave minimum of 50% marks in their graduation and also need to be appear either in CAT/MAT/CMAT.

I chose for this course because SMVDU is a well-reputed university and has a big name in the field of management and also provides better career opportunities and knowledge about the market. There were 10 teachers and 50 students. The faculty in SMVDU is really great and has years of experience in the field of teaching and providing excellent education. The term exams conduct in two phases- mid-term, end term.

Companies like Axis, Prescon, Shriram, etc. visits the campus and gives internship opportunities to the students and appoint them as in intern in their company after conducting a proper interview. I Personally got the stipend of rs. 8000 and the role i got was to manage the social media marketing of the company.

Students become eligible for the campus placements after the completion of their 2nd-semester exams. Companies like Axis, Prescon, Shriram, Yes Bank visit the campus and provides the campus placement offers to the students and the highest salary a student will get is rs. 8lakh. 60% of students get the campus placements.

If we'll talk about the fee structure of SMVDU then it's a little bit higher than the other colleges in Jammu as for one year it will costs you around more than 150000 approximately. I didn't avail myself of any kind of scholarship from SMVDU and the avg. The stipend you'll get durig your internship period is 10000.

Titiksha and Tatva are the two annual fests that take place in the campus every year and the books and journals are available in the university library in an adequate number. The classrooms are fully ventilated, air-conditioned, and also have projectors installed. Every year university conducts a sports fest in which the students from across India take a participate and display their talent. Vikalp is a social group run by students in the college campus. Overall the campus life is just awesome.

As I belong from a remote area so i have to do a updown of almost 20kms in a day to reach the college and it was a very hectic task that's why i opted for the hostel facility in SMVDU. The rooms are well furnished and have almirahs and separate beds in the rooms and have non-attached bathrooms the university also provides a big and good mess. To get registered for the mess and hostel one needs to just fill-up the form of hostel and mess facilities.

The topic of my GD was "Social Media a boon or bane for the society". And after that, a PI round happened and after clearing out all these rounds I got a call from the university regarding the letter of offer they sent in my email. I took the help of the internet and my elder brother who is also a student of SMVDU for cracking these rounds.
