Remarks

This college has strived to provide an excellent education to a truly diverse student body. It provides temperature controlled and wi-fi enabled classrooms,free surfing stations interspersed throughout campus.

Entrance Preview

I passed my Higher Secondary Examination and went for my degrees in this college. I scored 45%. This was the best college which had one of the best Faculties for Commerce.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is one of the best 3 years degree course with Honours in Commerce for Bachelor Degree.

Placement Experience

Quite high as it is one of the most reputed college in Kolkata. Students have been placed in companies like IBM,ITC,Royal Bank of Scotland,HSBC,WIPRO,The Louis Berger Group,Credit Suisse AG,UBS Investment Bank,Bank of America,Deloitte U.S. India offices,Accenture,DSP Merrill Lynch Ltd,LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd, ICICI Bank,Emami, Star Cement Meghalaya Limited,Cushman & Wakefield,Yes Bank,Goldman Sachs,Ernst & Young, PWC,Citi, Reebok India,AIG Global Investment Group,Vodafone India,Deloitte India,Tata Consultancy Services,Bharti Airtel Limited,Axis Bank.

College Events

There are lots of events those were celebrated in the college. The socials are mind blowing. Then there are annual events for each streams and the best is the workshop and the fashion show done by the fashion technology department.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is quite feasible.B.Com(H) Rs. 34,950 and very affordable.

Campus Life

It is a co-ed college. The socials are out of the world. There are lots of sports activities. The college participates in a lot of inter college sports compitation. Apart form that there are also participations in the fashion show competitions held by renowned houses where the college students put up their stuffs. Then the students also participates in a lot of other inter college competitions like singing,dancing and so on.

Hostel Facilities

There is no hostel facility available for this institution. Many an innovative idea has been born in the much romanticised college Canteen. Ours is situated on the ground floor and remains open from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM Monday to Friday and 6:30 AM to 5 PM

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes definitely the alumni is comparatively much weak and slow in this college. This is more because during our times students from business family used to study more than the professional ones.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

I applied to scottish church, jaipuria college and goenka college of commerce Got confirmed from the first two but bhawanipur had the best discipline , teacherd and a smooth easy process and the best campus.it has a ragging free enviroment which is best for me . I applied only for besc and I entered I didn't use quota admission Minimum masks for entry be 65% in best of 4 for evening batch whereas 85% for morning batch (can be changed on the points of performance and talents) there is no age limit for entry The admission process was easy i.e fill out admission form online check name on the admission list released pay the admission fee + yearly fees submission of form in college health check up in college collect your Identification card and you are enrolled in bhawanipur education society college...Read More
