Lalith Kishore's Review On SASTRA University, Thanjavur

I have written JEE. But I got into the college by my twelfth marks. I have heard this college is good in placements and obviously one need to get a job after college without much struggle. So I preferred this college.

My course has great scope in future. It is so applied and one can relate this to day to day life and it is almost applied everywhere. One needs control systems everywhere and my course provides in depth knowledge about control systems. My course has core subjects like Signal processing which is again much vital in speech processing.

No. Upto my knowledge they don't provide any internship. But they allow students to do internship outside instead of project which is for six months and that too that internship must be a core one.

Placements are so awesome honestly.One needs to get 60% as a minimum eligibility and then there is huge possibility of getting placed provided the student should be good in solving aptitude questions.There are companies too and then there are some IT companies.One may get into them according to their wish and eligibility.

Daksh is a technical fest and it includes quiz about electronics and lots of paper presentations. Kuruksastra is a purely cultural events and students from many colleges participate in it and that would be funny really. Chief guests would be a big celebrity usually.

I have heard about scholarship offering but am not that person. They give you some credits to persons who maintain full attendance throughout four years. Yes depending upon our percentage we are given scholarships.

Exams are conducted once in 30 days. They provide good break and lab exams are conducted twice as a model exam and main exam. They are not so hectic and they are not easy either. You need to put efforts. It was not chilled out and they give you marks for every experiments we do in each lab period. So we can't consider lab as an easy one and once we miss them we are affected immediately.

I got by twelfth standard marks.I got 1119 out of 1200. I got by my total marks. There were several rounds of counselling and when I got my round, I got this branch. Many branches were taken already.So I took this one but later realised this department has great scope.

They are so simple and they make students to take efforts.They are helpful to certain extent but never spoon feed. One would rarely see any faculty spoon feeding. They always make students to learn by their efforts. They make syllabus look easy and they help by preferring books and by feedbacks. They are so genuine too.
