Hi, I am Narayan Kumar from NIT Jamshedpur (batch 2k20 branch ECE). For getting admission into any NITs one should have to clear JEE MAIN examination with at least 96%itle or above and to opt (cs ece it) branches one have to score more than 98%itle. After that, they have to go through the josaa counselling process to get their preferred college and branch. After that, they have to report to the college and submit the required documents. As I have opted for Electronics and Communication Engineering in NIT Jamshedpur. We have to submit all required and essential documents like the 10th mark sheet 12th mark sheet character certificate migration certificate medical certificate JEE MAIN scorecard and many more. To get an ECE branch in my college, one should have to score above 98%itle in JEE MAIN examination.

I have chosen Electronics and Communication Engineering branch because of my passion and interest in electronics gadgets. In my college, there are seven branches which are CSE, ECE, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy and Production Engineering. My branch is also known as the evergreen branch because it has a large scope in both core and software jobs. As I have spent a year in this college I have met with very good friends, batchmates, helping and caring seniors and professors. Here we have the best professors who teach us in modern ways and techniques. Our faculties are very much qualified to have higher qualifications. Here faculty versus students ratio is very good. Our faculties are very much talented and nearly all of them are having PhD degrees in their respective fields. Our faculties are very helpful caring and are friendly too.

NIT JSR summer internships give the chance for candidates to grow knowledge and experience in their discipline, determine if they are alike in particular career opportunities and make a network of contacts. All b.tech candidates are accepted to undergo industrial training as recognized by the programme. The training time differs from 6-8 weeks. Aspirants from the different courses also take up summer internships to add to their educational knowledge and experience. NIT JSR is situated with the unique benefit of starting surrounded by a giant medium scale area namely Indian steel wire products, Tata tubes, Telco, Tata steel etc. Nearly 667 companies visit NIT JSR for campus placement.

The best thing about NIT Jamshedpur is its placements. Companies like Microsoft Amazon TCS Infosys Tata motors Snap deal Oracle Honda L&T Samsung Dell Vedanta Wipro Mahindra Aditya Birla Group etc visit for campus placement. The highest placement offered was 40 lakhs per annum and the average placement was 10 lakhs per annum. Every year nearly more than 90-95% of students get placed from NIT Jamshedpur. Here students get their dream packages. The highest package from my branch that is ECE was 30 lakh per annum and the average package was more than 11 lakhs per annum.

All NITs are having the nearly same fee structure. In NIat Jamshedpur the fee for one semester is 104000 rupees including all fees like Institution fee, hostel fee, mess fee and other charges like electricity, water supply etc. In starting that is in 1st semester one has to pay nearly 116000. And in the remaining seven semesters the fee is 104000 every semester. In NIT Jamshedpur there are many scholarships like the fee remission, one can also apply for state scholarships like up scholarships for up students Ekalyan for Jharkhand students and can also apply for NSP scholarship etc. Here companies like Microsoft Amazon TCS Flipkart Samsung Qualcomm Tata motors Infosys Mahindra L&T and many more companies visit for campus placement. Here almost 88-95% of students are placed every year with a median package of 10lakh per annum. The highest package offered was 40lakh per annum. The highest package was 30lakh per annum from my branch that isECE.The best thing about NIT JSR is its placement.

The campus life of NIT JAMSHEDPUR is just awesome. The campus area of NIT JSR is nearly about 350 acres. Here we are having 13 hostels out of which 2 are mega hostels and we are having a newly constructed academic building which has world class facilities and is having all the latest technologies. Culfest is the annual cultural fest of the college. It is organised at the national level. Ojass is the annual techno-management fest. It is among the top notch tech fests in the country. Technica is the annual national symposium fest of NIT JSR. Cognitio is the annual fest of the mechanical engineering department of NIT JSR. Vidhaan, Utkarsh, Urja and many more fests are organised by NIT JSR. The campus also has an NIT General Store SBI bank Post Office Gymkhana Health Center Canteen extra. Here we have too many clubs like the programming club of NIT JSR, Entrepreneurship Cell, Web Team, Drift, Phoenix, Phocus, Daksh, Revanta, Qunite, Rachna, NSS, Rays, Team eco riders extra

In NIT JSR we are having 13 hostels out of which 2 are mega hostels. There are 9 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girls. All hostels have the capacity of 180 students. And they offer many amenities like a mess(breakfast, lunch, refreshment, dinner) wi-fi internet facility, guest room, common room, outdoor games facilities and indoor games too.. like table tennis carom etc. The special things about mega hostels are that they are 7th floored hostels. And offers nearly the same amenities to the students. The meal quality of the mess is very good. Here we are offered with a very good mess menu with three times meal and having evening snacks too. Hostels are the best place in college where our friends are having lots of fun and enjoyment. Here we make friends who remain with us for our entire life.
