MBA- SMVDU

I applied for the MIET Jammu earlier but dropped the idea of taking admission thereafter comparing it with SMVDU. I haven't availed any quota for taking admission. For taking admission here, yu must need to be have minimum 50% in your graduation and give the exam of either CAT/MAT/CMAT before applying there and after that you''ll get a letter of offer for taking admission here. Moreover, they also conduct an entrance test known as "SMVDEE".

I opted for this course because i wanted to pursue something professional in my life from where i can seek more knowledge about the how a management works in an organization. In my batch the class comprises of 8 teachers and 70 students. The faculty in SMVDU is great and have more than 15 years of experience in the teaching field. The term exams mostly conduct on the time and deadline given by the university to every department.

Axis, Shriram, Prescon, etc. are the companies that visit the campus for providing the internship opportunities to the individuals and offer them various roles which will help the individual to gain the experience of corporate world. The avg, stipend they provide to the individuals is 5000-8000.

From the beginning of 3rd semester, the students become eligible for the campus placements and get placement offers from the companies like Shriram, Prescon,Axis, etc and if we talk about the avg. salary they offer to the individuals is INR 5lakh-8lakh. 60% of students get the campus placements,

The fee structure in SMVDU is also preety reasonable, if we compare it with the bigger institutes like IIM, Symbosis,Chandigarh University, etc. and also provides scholarship opportunities to the individuals who got more than 80 percentile in the CAT/MAT/CMAT .

Tatva and Titiksha is the annual fest organized for the mnagement students where the students take participate with the full enthuiasm and display their talent. In the time of exams there are some shortage of books and journals in the library related to particular subject and department. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and have projrctors installed and have all the basic amenities a class needs to work smoothly. Every year university organize different sports activities and fests in the university campus. Vikalp is the student group run by the students

The hostel rooms are fully ventilated, air-conditioned and have beds and almirahs built-in. The only thing the rooms doesn't have is attached washrooms. There are 2 hostels for the girls and is mandatory for every student and the food in mess is not that much great at all.

In my GD they asked me questions on the topic "Should the Indian economy be privatized" in which they ask me about my opinions and suggestions regarding this topic. And after that PI round happened and after that i got a letter of offer from the university regarding my admission. I prepared for these rounds with the help of my elder cousin and internet.
