Bachelors of Pharmacy at Jamia Hamdard

I had applied to Jamia Hamdard for B.Pharm, because it holds NAAC rank 1 all over the country, the faculty is experienced and rich in knowledge. Nowadays, the eligibility criteria for admission into B.Pharm is NEET UG and JEE for biology students and mathematics students respectively along with an aggregate of 50% in class 12th examination.

Pharmacy is the branch od science with deals with the study of preparing and dispensing drugs. I chose this subject because i wanted to be a part of the core team which builds this medical world. Jamia Hamdard holds NAAC 1 rank all over the country, and is best for pursuing pharmacy in India. The faculty is enriched, well experienced, knowledgeable, insightful, and very helpful. Most of the professors have completed their PhDs and have an experience of over 10 to 15 years. The university has an online portal for the students to review the performance of each and every faculty members, in order to improve themselves and make them more approachable to the students. The exam pattern is according to the latest PCI guidelines. There are internal assess ment examinations for 25 marks, and one semester examination for 75 marks at the end of the semester. The questions are framed in such a manner, to gain an insight on how well the subject and topics are clear to the student.

Monthly Internships are provided to the students for their all round development during the summer vacation. The learning outcome for the students is learning about several analytical procedures performed in a pharmaceutical industry.

The placement cell works hard to give a rich and practical exposure to the childern abou the industies, Students are able to appear for placements in the final year. Several companies like Eli lilly, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddy's, GSK come for placements. Almost 80% of the stuydents get placed every year.

There are two batched in B.Pharm, General and SFS. the fee structure for both the batched vary. In 2021, the tuition fee structure per year is 104000 Rs for general students, and 172000 Rs for the SFS students. The university hikes the fees by 10% every year. There are several scholarships offered by the university: 1. if the family income is less than 4.5 lacs per annum, a consession of 25 to 50% is provided on tuition fees or merit and caste basis. 2. postmatric Scholarship 3.SC/ST OBC scholarship 4. Online prime minister Scholarship 5. 40 Scholarships are offered by the donors of the university.

The campus life plays a crucial role in the all round development of the individual. There are several students from other nationalities, and cultural backgrounds. Interaction with such versatile people helps in personality development. The library are rich with books and research articles. The classrooms are well furnished, well lit, well arranged. The university pays equal importance to the co-curricular activities. There are several annual fests organised which includes activities such as singing, dancing, debate, poetry, beatboxing, etc. There is an annual sports fest which occurs every year and includes sports such as basketball, cricket, football, badminton etc. there are several groups such as IPGA student forum, Rotract Club, SPER for the students to join.

I faced an personal interview while my admission procedure, The questions were very general, about my schooling and favorite topics. Questions related to the subjects pursued in class 12th were also asked, One can throughly study all the concepts of high school for the PI rounds.
