A peek into the college.

I applied to the colleges under the JAC portal by the government. I wanted the b.tech in the ECE and only IGDTUW provided me with this stream, also IGDTUW has excellent placement and internships drives. Yes, I availed of the SC quota, and during the process of verification, the documents were verified by the concerned authorities. I got admitted through the Spot counselling process. Marks depends upon the yearly cutoff given by the jee mains. The admission process was very smooth. It was an online counselling process, and a detailed structure was released by the JAC portal and accordingly I located my rank which fell under the IGDTUW. Further, I reported offline to the mentioned location on the website for document verification and admission. Also, this was back in 2017 and seeking the present day scenario, students must regularly visit the JAC portal for the further information if he/she wanted to pursue b.tech from Govt. colleges from Delhi.

The B.tech (ECE) branch have wide fields in terms of getting into cooporate world, going for govt jobs or higher education. Further ECE have applications that are connected to daily chores. The faculty: student ratio is about 1:10. The faculty qualifications are excellent as they have PhD and also have their research papers published at various levels. The exams are held from average to moderate levels and it was not that difficult to pass if you are attending the classes properly and taken proper guidance from the faculty.

There were many such as : Morgan Stanley, SAP labs etc. Projects are many which fall under mini and major projects according to the semester. The students can start preparing projects right from the first year and there is ample of support provided to the students by seniors and the faculty.

From 7th semester the students are eligible for the placements. Many companies such as : SAP labs, Attlassian, Collegedunia,Goldman Sacs, and many more. The highest package of recent times is 51 lacs. There is almost full placements i.e. almost everbody get placed. My plan was to get into the corporate world.

The overall cost will be around 1 to 1.5 lakh per annum (not included hostel). There are various scolarships avaided by the college, futher the Delhi Govt has initaited many scholarships schemes.(Such as : for economically weaker section).

The annual fest is the taarangana and the innerve is the technical fest. It was super fun. The availability of books are wide and the college provides with all the required books of the semester. Further fictional books, magazines and newspapers are also provided. The classrooms are well furnished. Many sports are promoted including: cricket, basketball, volleyball, table tennis. Further, the college provides gym to the students. There are many such as : Tarrunum for singing, Hyonotics for dancing, Yantriki for robo cars. Further, there were help groups available by the students initiative. Also, the seniors are very helpful.
