A College known for its excellent placement record and mega hostels facilities.

If we talk about the admission process then it is through jossa counselling. My branch is ECE and for 2020 its cutoff is around 14200, for cse it's around 10000. If you want to join this college then your percentile should be more than 96, I'm talking about general category students here. For other categories, the cutoff is lower as written above (in terms of percentile). Special round is also there so if someone misses his/her college they wish to enter by a small difference so they can apply here as it is really helpful because if the cutoff of jossa counselling last round is 14000 then in special it raises to 14600 and the cutoff is generally rising in every branch like cse or core branches. In case if you don't get any good college through jossa( 7 round counselling process is there) and you should definitely apply in the special round(it includes mainly 2 rounds ). In the special round we have to pay a certain amount of money( category based) which will get managed with your tuition fees so don't panic.

I'm in the ECE branch and if we talk about gender ratio in my branch it's around 1:5 which would be considered a good ratio if we count the ratio of core branch especially mechanical it is very poor as we all know that it's an engineering college so we don't expect much. Now come to our faculties, so some of them are really good and supportive but like other govt colleges we need to study on our own. 2 semesters are there in a year and some class tests or surprise tests depends on the teacher, exams are not a headache here if you start study 2-3 days before exam sincerely then you will definitely score good marks, so don't worry about exams just focus on your skills as there are multiple clubs and a team of tech and non-tech background. In IIT and NIT, we generally develop our personality and skill that's what they are known for.

Internships are decent here like 126+ internships offers were there last here. Companies like Amazon, Arcseciuman, Samsung etc provide an excellent opportunity to our students. Due to our location factor ( no airport is there in Jamshedpur), some topnotch companies don't visit here otherwise our internships and placement stats are more excellent here. You have to do DSA or we can say competitive programming because almost every company ask for the coding round so it is important and does develop and learn new technology to stand out in internship and placement season.

The placement of my college is amazing and one of the major factors which attract thousands of students. This year 91% of students placed which is better than last year with avg CTC of 9.38 LPA the nd highest CTC 37.5 LPA. 800+ total offers by 150+ total recruiters like Amazon, Paytm, Goldman Sachs, ola and many more. In CSE placement are 100% and if we talk about core branches which generally college ignore, in Mechanical 96.5 % and civil 74% students were placed with avg CTC of 7.3 and 6.5 LPA. So if you are in this college don't worry about placement just focus on your skills.

If we talk about fees structure then it is around 90k per sem ( tuition fees ) and 35-40k is for mess and hostel facilities for a whole year. The scholarship is only available for category students. If you know video editing, development and other skills are there then you can definitely earn from the very first year. Internships from the college side are provided in the third year only which includes very popular MNCs like Amazon, Arcsecium etc.

The campus is absolutely amazing here you don't regret it once you come. Here a total of 13 hostels are there of which 9 for boys and 4 for girls. Boys have mega hostel( lift facilities are there and open air theatre is also there)which is the largest in whole India. Recently a new academic building is constructed which change the look of NITJSR and a very big library is also there contain thousands of books so if you want to enhance your knowledge then you have full resources available. Sports facilities are pretty nice here and every sport is present here so don't worry. Now come to our fest, Culfest is most popular in North-east India and Ojass is our tech fest and annual sports meet also held in this interbranch sports competition is there so it's really exciting and enjoyable. Every type of group of club and society is present in our college so don't worry about it.

Hostel facilities I have already told you that it's extremely good. Almost every boy get a single room in 2 nd year ( since boys hostels are more) and we have a mega hostel you can also call it a father of hostels as it is the biggest hostel in India. Mess food is ok. A canteen is also available inside the campus so you can also visit there and other basic shops are also available. But one of the biggest cons is that our college doesn't have gym facilities so if you do some workout you have to join gyms outside the campus which is not far from college.
