MBA Review of SMVDU

I didn't applied for any other college as SMVDU is already a big brand in itself and have a good placement rate among the other colleges in jammu. Didn't avail quota for taking admission here. The admission process comprises of minimum 50% marks in graduation and need to be appear either in CAT/MAT/CMAT and need to be go through their entrance test, PI and GD round.

I chose this course because because MBA is the only professional course which develops not your skills but also develops the personality of the individual, in-short it grooms an individual's personality. There were 7 teachers for the 65 students and the teachers here are so helpful and supportive and holds multiple degrees from the one of the known insititutes in the world.

Companies like ICICI, Yes Bank, Shriram, Prescon, Axis Bank, etc. are the companies which come to the campus every year for giving internship oportunities to the eligible candidates. I personally got the task of making plans and scheduling different HR interviews for the company during my one month of internship period.

From the beginning of the 3rd semester, students become eligible for the campus placements. ICICI, Yes Bank, Shriram, Prescon, etc. are the companies which visit the campus for providing campus placement to the students and generally offers an average salary of 4Lakh-7Lakh. Almost 65% of students get the college placements.

The fee structure policy of SMVDU is bit high and costly, an ordinary person can't afford the expenses offered by them and moreover they only provide scholarships to the individuals who got more than 80 percentile in the CAT/MAT/CMAT exam. No scholarship for the economically weaker section of the society.

Tatva and Titiksha are the two annual cultural fest conducts by the university for the management students where the students participate with the full of enthuiasm and high energy. The availibility of books is less when the exams are near and some students has to face the difficulty.The classrooms are fully air-conditioned and has every amenities present in the class needed to be. SMVDU also conducts sports fest and activities related to NCC and promote the co-curricular activities in the campus. VIKALP is the social group run by the students

The hostel rooms have beds and almirahs in the room and are fully ventilated and air-conditioned with 24/7 electricity facility. There are 2 hosels for the girls and for every individual who get admission here taking hostel is mandatory here. The food in the mess is not great at all.

The topic of my GD was "Should national anthem be played in cinema halls?" on which i express my views in front of them and after getting my name short-listed for the PI round they sent me an email regarding the date and timimg of PI round and after clearing the PI round i got admission in SMVDU
