SMVDU Review

Earlier, i applied for the Symbiosis Pune but didn't join there because of high fee structure. I haven't availed any quota for taking admission here. For taking admission here, you should need to behave a minimum 50% of marks in your graduation and also need to appear in CAT/MAT to take admission here.

I chose this course because I wanted to open my start-up venture and MBA is the only course that gives you exposure of the market and helps you alot in growing up in the private sector. There were 7 teachers and 75 students. The teachers are highly qualified and have done multiple degrees like UG. PG, Mphil, Phd, etc., and the teaching method they adopt is not so great at all.

Companies like Shriram, Prescon, Axis, Yes bank, ICICI, etc. are the companies that visit the campus and provide internship opportunities to the students and conduct a proper interview before choosing the Interns for their companies and provide an average stipend of Rs. 4000-10000.

After the completion of 2nd-semester exams, students become eligible for the campus placements and get job offers or opportunities from the companies like Shriram, Prescon, Axis, Yes bank, etc. which visits the campus and offers an average salary of Rs.4 lakh-8 lakh. Almost 60% of students get the campus placements opportunity.

The fee structure of SMVDU is quite reasonable if we compare it with other private institutes outside Jammu providing an MBA programme. No scholarship opportunity is given to the students. The average stipend given by the companies who visit the campus for giving internship opportunities to students is 5000-10000.

Titiksha and Tatva are the two annual fests that take place in the university especially for the management students where all the faculty members and students related to the management field take participate and create some great moments and memories that a person cherishes his/her lifetime. On exam days there is usually a shortage of books and journals in the library. The classroom has all the amenities available in the class required to run the class. Sports fest also take place in the university for students to promote the extra-curricular activities in the campus. Vikalp is a social group run by the students for the welfare of the students' community.

The rooms in the hostel are up to the mark have separate beds and almirahs present in the rooms for students with non-attached bathrooms. The food available in the mess is not so great at all most of the students prefer Maggi and coffee rather than eating the food of mess. There is no such registration process for a hostel because every student who gets admission here hostel is mandatory for him/her.

During my GD the topic I got for discussion is "Give views on the present education system of country" and after that, a PI round took place in the college campus where they ask me some general awareness questions and after clearing out PI round my name get shortlisted in the merit list and after that i got a offer letter from the university.
